Laughing Hyena Seeds Buzzard Grows Laughing Hyena Genetics

Day 79 today and we are just continuing to swell those buds. They are all in the harvest window, but they are still throwing new flowers. I think I will let them go a bit longer. The Banana Bread are very close but the Lil Wild Lamb are still a week or so away. I think I will schwazz them all and then monitor daily with the loupe. My fingers sure got sticky and stinky when I pulled the fan leaves off. It definitely smells like there is a skunk living under the Greenhouse. I had a couple of lower buds fall off while I was pulling fans so i will quick dry them and see where we are at. Thanks for stopping by and checking us out....... :growing: Will update next at harvest.

Day 82 for the Banana Breads and it is chop day. I removed all multi-fingered leaves and hung the plants whole. After the initial day or so of drying they will be bucked from the plant and slow dried in paper bags. I'll post a dry weight in a week or so but I don't expect huge volume as these girls were not topped or trained at all. The weather has been crazy for this grow. Hotter than Hell in the daytime with high humidity, and a major cooldown at night to create heavy dew and fog. I had to have fans on them 24/7 to keep the bud rot at bay. It helps that they had the looser Sativa type buds as well. I do detect a faint banana aroma but predominantly they smell a little citrus and pine. Thanks for stopping by and check back in a week or so for a final weight.

Germination
So today will be Day 1 for my new indoor grow. I germinated 2 Lebanese Acid, 1 Sowahh Mob, and 1 Sowahh Queen. They are in 5 gallon fabric pots in 80/20 coco/perlite. I will be using Remo Nutrients new water soluble dry nutrients. They are a 3 part called Remo Elements. I have had good luck with their liquid line so expect these to excel as well. Their recommended method is to mix a concentrated solution and then follow their mls/gal schedule. You can do a grams/gal schedule as well but at those small amounts your actual ppms of individual nutrients can vary a fair bit.
Anxious to get these going........thanks for checking out their baby pics......... :growing:

It is Day 84 for the Lil Wild Lambs. When I went to close up the greenhouse I noticed a couple of odd browny grey leaves on one of the main colas. It certainly looked like bud rot so they both got the chop. I got it cleaned up and I can't see any more so they were trimmed as branches and hung with a fan gently blowing on them. I'll keep a close eye on them until I can get them brown bagged. They were sitting at about 20% amber so they are ready to go. I don't think I will grow outdoor again as it is to worrisome with the weather. I can control all of the parameters indoors.
Thanks for stopping by.....I'll post again with weights in a week or so......... :growing:

So today is one week for the New Laughing Hyena girls. Not much to see as the action should mostly be underground now building roots. I put the distribution tops on but I am still hand watering . I hand water a little more each day until it builds up to the point of runoff when that happens I switch to auto mode. It usually happens around the third or fourth week. By auto mode I just mean pump and reservoir. I manually start and stop the pump as required but I have the option of using a timer if I have to be away. To begin with they get fed once a day, but as they get going we work up to 3 or 4 feeds a day with the final going to 20% runoff. They are presently getting 150 ppm nutes with some Velokelp and Humic, and some Therm-X 70 yucca extract.
Thanks for stopping by.......... :growing:

Today the girls are two weeks old. They are starting to take off nicely. I hooked up the irrigation and am giving them a liter apiece per day and will slowly ramp that up a little each day until we hit runoff, then I will switch to multiple small feeds and do the final feed each day to 20% runoff. My plan is to top and train so hoping for a decent stretch. They are feeding 400 ppm nutes and will remain there until they start flowering. Not a whole lot to see yet, but thanks for stopping by............. :growing:

Showed Sex
Day 21 for the girls and a lot has happened in the last week. The girls have hit grow mode and taken off. Sowahh Queen showed her girl parts on day 18 and they all had by day 20. They were all fimmed on day 20 between the 5th and 6th internodes, and had the bottom node growth removed. I have upped their nutes to 500 ppm and will start adding in the Boost as they move to flower. They are getting a small feed about an hour after lights on and another about 5 hours later , and a final feed to runoff a couple hours before lights out.

The Lebanese Acid are the back two, Sowahh MOB on the front left , and Sowahh Queen on the front right. Thanks for looking,,,,,,,, :growing:

Day 28 today and the stretch is on. The back left Lebanese Acid is the runt of the litter but it is progressing more each day. The other three are really shaping out nicely with a little leaf tucking and bending. Some of the leaves were getting huge and had to be removed. I misread the nutrient instructions and gave them too much K too early. I noticed the tell tale yellowing from Cal/Mag lockout it caused and flushed with a proper mix. I will have to be a little more diligent when mixing my nutes. Overall I am liking the way these girls are progressing. I haven't had any issues with any of the Laughing Hyena seeds I have grown so far, and these are no exception. Any issues I may have, I tend to blame myself for.
Thanks for stopping by............. :growing:

It is Day 35 for the Laughing Hyena girls and they are moving into flower. The Sowahh Mob is the slow poke but it looks like she is going to go. So far I haven't noticed any issues and they seem to be liking the Remo Elements Nutrient line. They are at about 700 ppm and I am adding in some of the Supercharged Boost. I have had to do a bit of defoliation just to keep things open and allow the light to reach the forming flowers. The Lebanese acid are quite different in size but very similar in structure. It makes me suspect that the shorter one is a result of my fimming and not genetics. The Sowah Queen is turning into a very tall lanky beast. She may need some LST or Supertopping. Looking forward to seeing what these girls will do in the next few weeks.
First pic is short Lebanese Acid followed by the taller one. Then the Sowah MOB, and the Sowah Queen. Group shot to show the size difference.
Thanks for stopping in for a look........ :growing:

Early Flower
The girls are doing great, they are at Day 42 and forming those little pom poms. I had to get physical with the Sowahh Queen and slow her rapid rise. I did some lst training with clips and some supertopping. The taller Lebanese Acid may need the same treatment as she is really stretching as well. The Sowahh Mob is the slowest into flower but she is forming bud sites and appears about ready to explode in growth. She is pretty bushy and is going to need a round of heavy defoliation this week. The shorter Lebanese Acid Is really stretching nicely now, but she is going to need some defol as well. Nutrients are around 800 ppm and ph around 5.9. I am going through about a gallon per plant, just shy of a 5 gallon pail a day total with 20 per cent runoff.

Thanks for stopping by for a peek................ :growing:
