New Grower Buying 1st setup, need help in finalziing the list

hi Guys,

with the help of this forum, I'M am at last starting to understand the whole process.

as many others I thought it was much more complicated than it is, with the autoseeds it really doesnt seem too much of a hassle.

The reason why I am bothering you all is, Ok ı decided to start my own little grow.

My main problem is I live in a country where smokin and growing are really not appreciated both by the locals or by the law,so I decided to make my grow in a closet at the back of the house. İn the closet in which I will use a tent. build some holes into the wardrobe in order to intake some air etc...

the location and operation of the grow I think I have it figured out with the help of others from this forum. (thanks to BillyWu by the way, great great journals )

My question now would be, if you could help me with the necessary equipment ı need to buy.

Also please take into consideration, I do not live in a country where all brands of growing equipment are sold all over the place
so sometimes I am not able to find maybe the best brand for the application. just finding the tool itself is a big surprise already

my current list is below,

1)tent: Dark Room II DR 60 (60cmx60cmx180cm)

2) cool tube reflector + 250W HPS dual spectrum bulbs ( actually ı was not able to find dual spectrum for 250W yet, only for 400W and above, do you think this will have a big effect?) (the whole thing is sold as a package as (250w Philips Cooltube Set)

3) Carbon Filter: 240m3/h Active Carbon Filtre Set (set includes
Can-Fan RK 100 / 240 m3/h Canal Type Fan
Can Lite 330 m3 ACTIVE CARBON FILTER
3 METRES of Alyminium Tubes
3 CLAMPS
TOPRAKLI FİŞ VE KABLO
4 S type hooks
3 metre steel chain

4) extraction fan: S&P TD Canal type Fan 240 m3/h


So this is the list ı have for now, I know ı will need alot of gadgets for the grow, but just for the tent and the operation to work properly, is this all I need. (ofcourse with the seed a put and soil )

By all I need I mean, even if I dont have the electrical timers, and the ph, humidity checkers, nutrician etc...

can I start my grow with this equipment. My main philosophy was, make sure that the tent can get air in an air out, be able to give the plant some light and dark.

I know these types of questions have been answered many times on this forum, but sometimes I see that it goes into too much details, or the operation that is being run is much more bigger than what ı want to do.

anykind of help is really highly appreciated.

You have the basic equipment to get started.Next is pot's, soil mix,and nutes.I suggest you read our threads on soil and nutrients to see what is best.A PH meter is very important and you may have to go online to find what you need.

yes agree with namvet ph meter is very important, and all those cheap ph meters do not work, i have gone thru countless rapitest and digital soil ph meters and they do not work. if you can buy online definitely look for the Accurate 8 Ph meter has a long 12 inch probe and is amazing.and not too expensive.

A speed controller for the extraction fan will really help to manage noise levels as well as allow you to fine tune your tent temperature and humidity.

If you are going to grow in soil get an Accurate 8 pH probe and you will also need something to measure the pH of your water and nute solution

The fan speed controller is AWESOME for controlling temps.

Welcome..good list so far..You want a fan to blow on the plants..a temp comtrol for your fan...Pots..5gal or smaller depending on how many or how big you want them to grow...Nutes..I went with grow More nutes ..cheap and simple only need 2 parts for a great grow..the veg and the bloom and if you want to get fancy the hula bud or Hawaiian bloom...Its great to have a ph meter but if you cant get one ATM u will be fine with the Grow more stuff. I dont have a need to do any ph testing with it....epsome salt..and a cal/mag+...soil mix..I would go with pro mix and worm castings or black gold..lol thats all I can think of.In that space and with a 250 I would grow 1 in a 5 gal pot or 2 in 3gal pots or 4 in 1gal pots . I was actually told that for the PH ıssue, " that with soil you just add nutrients to water and pour it on, soil does the rest If you have a similar set up to me all you need to do is follow my journal and not pH anything."

if this is so, do I still need a PH meter? and how do you understand if the PH meter is actually showing the right figures

is a 2 speed option enough? I looked at the extraction fans, and I only see them having 2 speeds ( so I guees its slow and max power)

aha, thanks for the reply, at last I get the info of what pot size I should use for ammount of seeds I want to plant. Thanks alot for that.
I was thinking to grow 1 seed in a 5 Gal pot (about 20Lt). If ı am to grow 2 in say 3 Gal pots, will the potency of the final product be effected?

so u think pro mix is better suited for my operations? I'M planing to grow autos, and I read in a couple of forums that the light mix soil is best fit for Autos. what do you think?

For the nutyrition side I was planin to use: Biobizz grow, Biobizz flower, Biobizz Topmax, Formulex, Biobizz Root juice

the brands which ı cna get a hand on are only: advanced nutritions, Hesi, canna, biobizz,
GHE,cal-mag. SO if you have any particular recomendation I'm all ears.

what is worm casting and black gold by the way, I dsidnt really understand what its used for.
