Potting Soil Experiment Mix:Roots Organics Original & Fox Farms Happy Frog

I have some Roots Organics on it's way. Can you tell me the color bag you have? I ordered the soilless kind with coco. Was wondering if anyone used that kind?

I've only ever used the original potting soil and the 707...

unless your shelling out the cash for a drip system cancel it, you cant your it like soil it will tell you on the back of the bag or if you email them, not meant for traditional watering techniq.
which is a been crummy since it says can be used like soil on their site and catalog, NOT SAYING ITS BAD. just not for the application that was needed do to poor description of product. i have since cut my losses on it and re purchased their original potting soil and will amend

It clearly says Hydroponic coco media... I just checked the ingredients and it looks like a great mix to me man. Not trying to call you out dude, but I can only go with user error. You were using a Ph of 7 in a soilless medium. Although it's amended with organic matter, that was still too high. Just saying...NOT bashing you, so please do not take it that way. I just think you're misrepresenting a company that has a great reputation with growing Cannabis. I suppose you could have gotten an 'off' bag, in which case you should take it back to your shop and show them what you're concerned about. :D

I didn't see anything about a drip system only, unless I just missed it. Either way I saw several different applications that it can be used for. :D

Yup, I've just been to the site any it clearly states it's a hydroponic medium. Coco growing is a hydro tech, it is known. We all make mistakes, especially when starting out. Did I ever tell you about the time I tried to start seedlings in miracle grow that I amended with tons of ferts :D

Or when I used that MG perlite in slow release soil and I fed them nutes on like day 3...:crying:

I hate that my old threads exist...Awful. :face:

Yeah I plan on using it in 3 gallon smart pots. Was thinking about getting some blumats to use but for now will be hand watering. Gonna try the Maxibloom KISS method. Figured since it has coco in it that I need hydro nutes so I have some cns 17 just in case. Got some black cream, auto blue diesel, and a bubblelicious germing right now. Gonna prove to my husband that girls can grow too lol.

DO NOT USE IF YOU ARE NOT USING A DRIP SYSTEM OR OTHER HYDRO SET UP!!! send it back and get your 33 bucks back or trade for Original or Fields light (both are highly rec. or other forums for indoor cont gardening)
LEARN FROM MY MISTAKE!!:o:thumbs:, thats why i posted this so others wouldnt think they could use trad. water methods its deigned for hydro, stick to soil mixes if your using Trad. methods IMO

you should be ok with blumats but id wait for a more Exp. grower to answer your question
Welcome to AFN btw LadyPurp! (wasnt trying to be mean)

Yes squid& piggy i know but i also had a separate pot full of straight soil-less without the TS added and didnt work as planed aswell drained way to fast! proper PH`d as a control pot, and thank you for sharing your vast Exp. with us Squids :D

i have a eco ph2 that got un calibrated if you can recall in my GJ hence me thinking it was 6.4-6.5 when it was really 7 tec. error, and yes i now understand hydro mean only hydro which is confusing since hydroshop had just as much organic soil stuff as hydro equip., so Greenhorn thinking hydroponic must be sneaky lingo for ..... you know(just like water tobacco pipes;)). without the man coming down on the shop.

not arguing with you squid just saying i found this fourm after i already bought my rig and was no mention of this model media on here and no one commented on my question about it before i did it)

yes squid you are again correct, USER error with not knowing the lingo at time of purchase as well as salesmen not mentioning anything when i ordered it.

but someone who doesnt know the lingo and is new to growing can make that mistake, AGAIN,AGAIN,AGAIN NOT BASHING RO AS A WHOLE!!! just putting info out so people dont make stupid Greenhorn moves. and save them the $$$ and time and security if they arent in a free area.

AGAIN PEOPLE "BE Aware" not "beware or stay away or dont buy"......
