Lighting Bunny's Telos Tales

Fungus nats or fruit flys I'm going to treat the soil with beneficial nematodes that Im assured will not adversely effect the living bacteria and mycos.

Mosquito dunks dude i just put half of one in the res and if I'm hand watering put a quarter of one in the 5 ltr watering can seems to work first time I've had fungus gnats

Cheers guys yeah I suggested over watering was likely on the two older plants. So they are easing off. Nice weather for everyone but Growers. Mould and critters are loving it too.

Looking good bro. Gnats are organic growers plague.. little feckers my yellow sticky traps are filled with the bastards. Been looking into Hypoaspis a while back, what are you intending to use ?

Day 15

Looking nice considering insect attack if a little overwatered! Annoying as I said to let the soil dry out because of the nats/flies!
The Nematodes/traps have done their job caught in time hopefully , no more bites no more flyers.

The mutant SPG has turned into a two headed hydra under Telos!

Blackberry gum ^ nice size but a bit wet

Hopefully they take off in the next week. Laters

Just put cider vinegar in a bowl with a couple of drops of dish soap to break surface tension. Gnats love it to death, literally. Also can spray soil with a dissolved aspirin in a gallon of water to get rid of mould, gnats love mold.

The lights been a bit too far away between 80cm and a meter (because of finishing older plants) and this has caused some stretch and less development. Hopefully they catch up now they are about 60cm away.

Day 30

I have been absent from the grow and the the pests have badly effected the plants. That and the light being too far away in early development. It looks like thrips and though the population was lowered that are still about and there is leaf damage and Plant size has really suffered, I'm tempted to tear it all down. But partners want to flower them out. Likely an early harvest so we can start over.
