WELCOME TO BUDSONS FIRST GUERILLA GROW

I have always grown indoors, with the occasional auto or photo in the back yard a few years ago, Year after year I tell myself.. “this year I’ll do a guerilla grow” and never get around to it. Well last weekend I finally pulled my finger out of my ass lol! Jumped on Seedsman and ordered a handful of beans.

I’ve always wanted to grow a purple strain, so three purple queens and a quick kush, these will be for my grow tent. I then found some cheaper seeds for my outdoor crop, five special kush and three galaxy seeds, with that I scored six free seeds, I opted for regular seeds over feminised this order.

I’ll sex these six in a tent 12/12 from seed, any females can join the main crop, just require one male to grow out in the backyard for pollen, towards the end of the season I’ll clone my best female and throw some pollen on her.. that should give me future guerilla grow seeds!

Now, time to find a nice area, and prep the site, I have 3 weeks to get ready!

12th September.

Yesterday was the day! I grabbed my shovel, axe and rolled a joint.
I live on the edge of town, luckily enough straight across the road is bushland, so I headed in after walking along a dirt road for 10mins I found an animal track, continued down that for a few minutes, once I got to the thickest part of the bush I put my head down and turned randomly off the animal track, for what felt like an hour and an episode of bear Grylls, I found the spot!

I stumbled across this large patch of green leafy tall plants, I took a few steps in and knew this was the site!
after two hours I had a nice area cleared roughly 5m x 2.5m in size, the soil seems good, plently of worms were to be found under the decomposing leaf matter, I will bring a sample of dirt back to PH test.
With the cleared bush and a few sticks I made a light barrier to keep most the critters out for now.

Time to dig some holes!
We’ve had a later winter here, last weekend we got 2” of rain in 48hrs, the ground is still holding a lot of water as you can see here, think I’ll pop into the big smoke and pick up a 100lt bag of perlite, along with some worm castings, mushroom compost, lime, pot ash and a few other ingredients to amend the soil.

Hopefully i can turn this into black gold!

Tomorrow I’ll go for a drive a few kilometres out town and find another grow area deep in the bush, i personally think it’s best not to have all your eggs in one basket, I’ll put 4 plants in each area, adding and females I get from the regular free seeds.

13th September.

Today I plan on driving a few km’s out of town, down a 4x4 access only track, which leads to a ripper beach fishing spot us locals keep a secret.
Off I set to establish my second grow site for the season! I cross a small creek and noticed I was in a bit of a valley, pulled the compass out one side of the valley was facing the eastern side..PERFECT!!

I park the car off the main road and venture down to where I seen a very old and overgrown dirt track, clearly hasn’t been used in many years, off I go! I can hear the creek running it must be about 50-60m down the hill, very good! I can pump water up to this site and not have to worry about hauling water in via vehicle.

After a quick 5 minutes on the baby saw I had cleared the small shrubs, time to dig holes! oh great! I forgot the bloody shovel!!
I wasn’t driving back, so I turned the ground over with my axe, making a couple of beds for the plants.. whatever works right!?!

Off to Bunnings and the hydro shop tomorrow! I have also put 10 bag seeds into wet paper towel today, I will make a third grow site for these 10 seeds, plants them and forget about them

23rd September

Dropped 9 bag seeds last weekend, this crew will go out as test dummies, I want to see how they hold up against the bugs, animals and other outdoor surprises that may await, don’t really want to spend money on seeds and lose the crop to something I could of prevented.

5/9 I’ll wait another day for the others.
I finally went to Bunnings! :clapper:
The day did not go as planned, in the comedic shambles of events I lost my shopping list for my super soil recipe, instead I ended buying a few general items I thought could maybe do something.. I dunno, I did forget perlite and sulphur though, do have other things to adjust ph if needed.

Not to sure what I’ll do with all this, but I’ll get some worm castings and perlite, use the osmocote premium as a base soil and go from there..

I have a knee reco on the 30th so I’m going to start my seeds once they arrive, in the back yard, in pots, this way I can keep a eye on them with out venturing into the bush while I’m trying to recover, once I’m able, I’ll do a night run and plant the whatever girls I have at the time, hopefully on the full moon in November!
That’s all for now team :joy:

3rd October
Well I’m back from hospital! :d5: The bag seed crew are ten days old today, little droopy as expected but a quick drink and happy days.

Still a little cold here to start veggies from seed outside so I’ve accompanied the crew with a tray of snow peas until they are big enough to resist the cold.
I’ll need to repot the 4 bag seeds shortly, they are steaming along nicely.

Great work Budson ! Love your grow sites see the soil looks nice already its black, i saw on gardening australia, black soil is quite high in organic matter. Nice selection also of strains. I also would start my seeds at home before going bush, gives them a little better chance, subbed in mate
