Photoperiod Bud's Shed - First Test Grow

OOOhhh ... @budelee ... thanks dude.
Confidence is everything.
If you can do it, I can do it ...

I'm just aware of the 'recovery' time needed with extreme pruning ... I guess like everything in life, timing's the key.

Well, I like to fuck around, so maybe I'm you're man..!
Let me get jiggy with my growroom first, then we can share tricks. I have one or two up my sleeve just yet ... I don't enter a poker game without my game-face on!

Grateful Bud :headbang:

Ps. That's not 'Grateful Dead Bud' ... just yet!
You can!! We all can..i started training because people advised me not too.im stubborn like that..besides it keeps things interesting, nothing is as boring as just watching a plant grow into a christmas tree shape.I beat em till the cry like little girls!! Kidding on that one!! Truth be known, the mainline training barely slowed her down at all, untill the final cut, then it slowed by a couple days. Not a huge deal but,i would not try it on a known 60 day strain,my DP auto mazzar finished at around the 95 day mark..its impossible to kill DP genetics,i've tried!!! They took everything i threw at them..I have trained using many breeders and strains but only attempted the one mainline..im here if you ever need advice or help..Go For It!! Heres a few past projects

this plant is currently in the Plant of the Year comp and also a former bom winner

this was topped and spread to the max!!....good luck bro

I read something lovely the other day.

It went like this:

A preacher was preparing his sermon one day, but was being pestered by his young son. As a distraction, he took a page out of a colour magazine with a picture of the world on it. He tore it into a thousand pieces, gave it to his son, and instructed him to put it back together, thinking it would occupy him for hours. Ten minutes later, his son reappeared with the picture intact, accurately reassembled. Asked how he managed the task so quickly, his response was thus: 'on the back was a picture of a man, and I figured if I got the man right, then the world would be right'.

A philosophy I wanted to share ... that's all.

I have some current projects going on but this time i just bent the main to break the apocal dominance.A documented LST run, which is kinda outta the norm for me,but i just wanted to keep things interesting for anybody that crosses my thread,i put it in the new growers academy so any new growers would have that info to go on,it wasn't around when i started and everybody was against any form of HST of defoliation which i still regualrly do
image.jpeg
not rhe best pics, but ehat i settled on was rhe bamboo sticks to pull/tie everything back down to
image.jpeg
these have no training at all but were a stunted short strain( boring)...

Whats going on guys?? Yes autos are strong enough to take the mainline training ,its a cool technique that ive documented to show how vertical growing space limitations can be overcome..Ive also topped, fimmed, scrogged, circle trained, supercropped and bent stems/plants into many directions just to show that they are capable of the various training techniques..im still waiting for someone else to add another mainline plant to my thread, since my "Medusa" mainlined plant is the only documented ML on the site!! Your welcome to piggyback off it if you like..its in my sig area...peace!! Thanks for the mention @Dudeski
There are my 2 somangos who are going into flower now

The first two I attempted to FIM looked so deformed, I just had chop their heads off ... I felt like Henry VIIIth for a moment. :warrior:

I'm counting down the hours now until I can fire-up 'the furnace' ... my main grow chamber.
The whole point of this grow is to test the system, mid-winter, and hopefully spot the 'chinks' in the theory, and correct them before they correct me. Legally speaking.

I want to get four plants in the chamber to flower, with another four held back in reserve.
Those remaining four, if I'm brave enough, will get mainlined. (The term refers to an extreme form of plant training, perfected by a very clever chap .. http://www.growweedeasy.com/mainlining-nugbuckets)
I've got seven weeks to play with them, so why not?

Now, I know these aren't 'autos' .. and I'm also aware that these are techniques not usually compliant with 'auto' growing.
Maybe one day in the future? ... it's still the same much-loved plant.
We've made amazing strides in the last 20 years ... I'm really looking forward to the next 20 ....!!!!

I'm having a bit of a problem with my water experiment though.
I'm out of rainwater, due to the fact it isn't fucking raining, for a change.
Silly me, that usually only happens in the summer, doh!

:baked:

Looking amazing dude

@budelee read through your mailined grows after following through threads on another site a while ago.
Amazing stuff what you put them through and great that you showed everyone else how to do it, even though never tried myself. Big respect out to you.
@Bud Wiser UK girls are looking lovely, still watching with interest and still sending the good growing Karma your way.
