New Grower BradofCanada's First Grow - Barneys Grape Muerte Auto

Hi guys,

New here and to growing and this is my first attempt.I will document the best I can and try to include video footage.I hope this helps me out as well as others new to growing.

What I started with :

- Promix BX general purpose Professional Growing medium
- Supermax B1
- Big Plastic pots (Will never transplant)
- 1 T5ho 2 ft light 6400k 2232 lumens for veg and 1 2700k bulb for flower later
- Ph tester for later on

In between I decided I wanted to grow In a tent and ordered a Secret Garden 3ftx3ftx5 ft.

On January 5th I decided to start seeds as no tent is needed for that.I just used 1 litre of water to 1 teaspoon or 6ml of Supermax B1. I soaked the seeds in it for 15 mins or so and while i was waiting I soaked the media with the B1 solution until it ran through making sure to get all the media wet.

I then poked my finger in about an inch and dropped in one seed each.Just covered loosely and thats where im at right now.I hope I did this right lol .

I popped the light over it temporarily until my tent arrives.

One week later...Meet laverne and Shirley The first thing I have ever grown in my life.

Received new tent and set it up.Video soon to follow after I edit it lol.

Also Got another light and wrapped the board in white film to attach both lights too.Make it very easy to raise and lower.Also added a temp fan till I find a better one but it puts a breeze on the plants for now .

Changed out a few thing in the tent.

More items bought
- 25ft of small white chain
- 3rd t5 ho light just in case
- pvc pieces for homemade carbon filter (Video to follow)
- filter for inside filter
- Activated Carbon
- 6 inch booster fan

I do have to ask how much watt on lights you are using atm?

I am using 2 6500 k 24 watt high output 2 foot T5 lights for 2 plants

If I were you you should buy some stronger lights?

24 watt isn't like the overall wattage you're using right?

like what you mean is you have a 2 rows of 24 watt lights?
or you just have 2 24 watt lights?

I'm just asking because 2300 lumen for growing is a bit low I'm pretty sure you need atleast 10.000 lumen as a bear minimum.

edit: I might be wrong about the lumen but your lights just don't seem right.

Im have 2 24 w High Output lights.I am told that its plenty by the Ganja wise lady at the indoor growing centre I visit.She actually advised me not to buy the third one I have as Backup.When they flower I will put in the 2700 k light bulbs

Hello again Brad. Just to let you know I don't think too many ppl here would consider 48w for 2 plants as "plenty" of light. I believe 100w per plant is typically recommended. I guess it depends on what kind of yields you're expecting to get tho.

Three weeks in - Have watered with ph balanced water only and not very much.Gave the leaves a little rain shower because why not
