New Grower BR549's First Grow (or, I finally get off my ass...)

I managed to figure out the macro function of the camera enough to get a shot of the pistils that have shown up.

Today's "obviously I know nothing about autoflowers" question: I just peaked in the tent, double checked, and this one has little "starter" flowers on every branch now. Is she supposed to be doing that already?

DAY 28

Rule number one of grow journals: never listen to any prediction a noob makes! Last week I said it looked like plant "B" was catching up with plant "A". Well, this week, plant "A" has left the other two in the dust, and if I didn't know plants "B" and "C" from looking at them all the time, I'd have trouble telling them apart. So one plant has started stretching, while the other two are just dawdling around wondering what to do. All three have shown sex, and are female (yeah, I know; they're feminized seeds, but I'ma a noob: I worry about everything!) "A" is about six and a half inches tall right now, the other two are stuck at three.

Now for this week's noob question: I've been using the veg side of the lights only and planned on switching on the flowering side (and using both together) when I started using flowering nutes. Is this a good plan? Or would there be a benefit to having both sections of the light on during the veg stage?

They are looking great bro, nice healthy colour and growth is looking to be right on track. Keep up the great work you been doing so far and you gonna be harvesting some real potent, frosty and tasty buds before you know it.

:headbang::pass:

As above, all 3 looking great. Keep doing what your doing bro. As for growth you can't predict anything they will just do their own thing. Another reason I love just watching them grow.

Nice looking plants ... I use both Veg and Flower lights starting at 10 days ... then both for the remainder ... :thumbsup:

Your plants would benefit greatly from having their leaves lifted ... An example is on page 1 post #4 in my NLBB & Bubblelicious thread below ...

Yeah, I saw that. I like that idea, and I plan to steal...uh...borrow it next grow; I'm just trying to let the plants do what they want to naturally to get a "baseline" result. Yeah, I know it's silly...

I'll go ahead and switch the whole fixture on. It's only 195 watts; to someone my age that's just two regular light bulbs!
