Harvest & Curing Boveda Humidifier Pack 62% - Could be new line or we missed it

Wow...I call this progress! These packs are specifically designed for "herbal medicine ". According to the product description, "...herbal storage at 62% maximizes smell, taste, color, texture and burn rate "?!?

I used to buy these all the time to keep my Cubans fresh. But now, they're marketing specifically to the "herbal medicine" market, which is awesome!!! What other herbal medicine do you know of, that you're concerned about its "burn rate "?

Like TBM mentioned, they're the small packets. But I plan on tossing one in all my foodsaver sealed jars just to see how they measure up!

Never used these, after you cure with TBM guide with RH, you just put these in the jars to keep the RH at 62%?

BTY. I received eight a few days after my original post. Ordering more (if they sell to me--may need a straw buyer now--lol) Pricey. Was in a testy mood and reacted too swiftly when I noticed RH was not moving towards 62% within 24 hours. Contacted supplier and then, of course, humbled myself with an apology--to which they did not respond and I don't blame them. RH seemed to be way off. Moving the jars under a dresser on the cooler tiled flooring dropped the RH down near 56% or so. Not perfect, but great in dry climate. I have noticed that even if we experience some humidity, in the area of 40%, which is rare the RH in the house is still lower by up to 10% of more. Sometime, I will, unless, TBM bets me to it put up some info. on temp and conditions affecting RH. This is important in drying--in dry climates with complications due to the yield of plant(s), the strain and general condition/heath of plant(s) [my last drying was super fast due to conditions beyond RH and temp. because at the time temp. and RH were perfect for drying]. :2cents: CG

just ordered 12 of these bad boys and will try them out and let you guys know.

QUESTION?? if you use boveda paks do you still burp? and just as frequent or not as often?

You should cure your bud 1st with out them. Keep a RH meter inside and when it starts to stabilize at around 65%, add the humidipaks in. Then you shouldn't have to burp em.

Yeah, I like to get mine down under 65% using the burping method and then keep the jar sealed for at least a couple of weeks. It really seems to increase potency and flavor. After that base cure, I add two of the 62% packs and keep them in a cool, dark place. Last night I vaped some Pak Ryder that was jarred up in late September, and it was just as sticky and potent as it was 5 months ago. Actually I think the taste is more fruity now and the scent has more complexity. I see no reason why bud could not be stored for years with these humidity packs as long as the jars are kept in the right environment.
