Outdoor Bob takes Barneys Farm on a BioTabs tour inside the Greenhouse - Growing Strawberry Cheesecake Auto, Moby Dick Auto & Watermelon Zkittlez Auto

I can transplant from window grow into greenhouse about June 1. Plants that are a month old will have 3 more in the gh. The fast ones will finish around last week July into first week Aug. The big and the slow will probably go into first week Sept. By then the grow season is rapidly devolving.
June 1 or soish, lol, I'll seed a bunch of pots in greenhouse that will go out back and garden around July 1. If they aren't ready by last week Aug, back into the greenhouse. The garden plants, being rooted for the duration, ride the Arctic Acid test to the end.
Oh yeah.....67N.....do the math, it's mostly subtraction:rofl::rofl::rofl:

That's far up north indeed! :goodluck:

What are the daylight hours there in summer?

If you have about 3,5-4 months as the growing window, you should be able to grow some high quality autoflowers in there right?

What are the best strains for you so far?

On with the show!!

Hey @Cultivators!! :toke:

Today I have a special announcement to make!!!
But before I go there first some backstory...
Just after New Year Antonio suggested to me I should try an organic grow. Now, since I don't have a green thumb I was a bit hesitant at first coming from a pure chemical nutrition background which has always worked for me. But he promised me it was fool proof and since the beginning of all wisdom is knowing thyself I accepted...

Now three months on and just a couple of days after I harvested my Auto White Widow I can say this is by far the easiest grow I've ever done. Doing the BioTabs in combination with the Autopot system has been a breeze. Ok, I'll admit having a bit of an issue in the beginning of this grow with the amount of water the autopots gave, but once a small fossette was installed between the tank and the pots I never had to look at it again. Keeping the tank filled was the only job that had priority and with a full tank the system (4x 8.5L autopots) could go on for at least 10 days while in veg!

This grow was so easy I had to shout it from the rooftops! I shouted so hard that my message eventually reached Karel Schelfhout himself. After mailing a couple of times back and forth we had it all figured out and convinced Karel to sponsor my grow season completely!! :worship:

Forward to today...The bell rang and who was at my door...Yup, the postman to deliver a fairly heavy box. Inside the box where the following items....

This is my cup. There are many like it, but this one is mine.
1652778060266_small.jpg

My cup is my best friend. It is my life. I must master it as I must master my life.
1652778060253_small.jpg

First off, The heart of the system. BioTabs, a organic slow-release fertilizer chockfull with nutrients and beneficial bacteria alike.
1652778060246_small.jpg

1652778060238_small.jpg

Next we have Startrex which is a soil improver with added bacteria.
1652778060117_small.jpg

1652778060110_small.jpg

To add some more bacteria to the mix BioTabs also has Bactrex which contains even more bacterial cultures to aid the roots in taking up more nutrients.
1652778060167_small.jpg

I guess all these guys do the heavy lifting for us each playing a different role inside the medium used, being soil or coco.
1652778060158_small.jpg

Next up the list is Siliciumflash. A quick acting nutrient formula to start your plants out with. These will feed your seedlings until the bacteria take over and is chockfull with all organic based nutrients. Besides using it for seedlings you can also treat nutrient deficiencies with it, but more about this in a later thread.

1652778060126_small.jpg

We also have this Mycorrhizae inoculant called Mycotrex. When planting a seed, seedling or even repotting a plant use this in the planting hole to create a mycelial network that lives in harmony with your plants extending the rootsystem by providing necessary nutrients in exchange for suggars.

1652778060176_small.jpg

And this is where Orgatrex comes in the picture. This product provides the mycelial network with the necessary carbohydrates.

After the Orgatrex we have the BOOM BOOM spray. A foliar booster spray which delivers all sorts of goodies directly into the plant via the leaves.

1652778060222_small.jpg

For when we are further in the grow and the plants need that extra bit of P-K, BioTabs also created a compost tea mix called PK Booster Compost Tee.
This needs to be brewed for a couple of days before use, but will provide a whole colony of helpful bacteria which aid in uptaking the P & K.

1652778060144_small.jpg

And last but not least...The Bud Booster. Every serious grower knows that the plants need extra Phosphor and Potassium which is exactly what this product provides. Start slow and build this up near the end of flowering to maximize yield. You can even combine it with the above mentioned tea.

All these products combined will provide your plants with the best nature can deliver! And the cool part is you almost need all of them only in the beginning before you start growing. Check out these video tutorials on the BioTabs website and have a readthrough all the different manuals of the products before you go cooking up that perfect soil

I hope you guys don't mind me shouting so hard about the BioTabs lineup, but if you want an All Organic grow with monster buds you should definitely take a look at this product line! It's made my life a whole lot easier ♥ ♥ ♥

Let's continue with a couple of update pictures from my younglings...

Even though these younglings are staying inside a terribly hot greenhouse they are growing like cabbage. And now that my BioTabs kit has arrived I can prepare the soil as described in this manual so the little ones can be potted over in a 7 gallon fabric pot or 20L plastic pot

Nice one Bob, glad to hear that Karel & Biotabs set you up! :pighug:

Lets get growing those :growing:my man!
Thanks pall  Yeah, he's such a nice guy!!
And as a SSSC fanboy it was a real honor to have met him, even if it where only via mail :jump:

Thanks buddy
Today I prepped the soil with the necessary bacterial cultures and filled the pots. This is how I did it...

Ingredients:
  • 40L Organic Soil (npk 7-7-10)
  • 20L Coco (washed, prepped with Calcium and Magnesium and washed again)
  • 60L Lightmix (npk 12-14-24) with added perlite
  • 10L Perlite
  • 30L Lightmix (I had left over from my previous grow which I kept this in a covered bin in my study and used it for my seedlings as it's chockfull with all sorts of goodies. Even kept the whole thing nice and damp and fed the colonies with some carbs once in a while to keep them alive and happy
  • 750gr Startrex
  • 750gr SiliciumFlash
  • 12gr Bactrex
  • 12L Tapwater
Howto:
  1. Mix all the above ingredients together except for the Bactrex. I used a tarp to work on. This way nothing gets lost and everything gets mixed perfectly!!
  2. Add the Bactrex to 12L water. I used tapwater which is just fine and poured it over the soil
    1652958268831_small.jpg
  3. Fill your pots with the mix...and you're almost done :d5:
    1652958268800_small.jpg
  4. Now either wait for a deluge or give each pot plenty of water and let it sit until you're ready to (trans)plant. The longer you wait the more active your soil will get, but don't forget...If you let the soil dry out all those bennies will die so keep an eye out for that :stir:
Later today after the rain has stopped I'll be transferring the pots to the greenhouse and transplant the young plants. So...to be continued :smoking:

Hi @Bob's Auto's in the Biotab manual it says to use 50% perlite and 50% soil or coco. Have I got this right?
IF so, how come you mainly have soil and only a small % of perlite.
Just a little confused, because 50% perlite seems an awful lot.
