Hi all,

I am after a little advice, i have this one on the go at the minute and it is at 10wks now, the trouble is it doesn't seem to be slowing down, i am a little concerned about the Fan leaves covering the lower sites, i know this is a subject that gains many different opinions, but would trimming the fans at this stage do it any harm, i have trimmed before to be honest, and didn't really see much difference in grow, but i have never trimmed this far in, the top cola is huge and the lower ones are gaining weight.
Whats more strange is i was growing with a 200 watt dual spec CFL but it broke during my last grow, so i bought a 300 watt red CFL to finish it off, well thats all this one has had throughout its grow, i am amazed at how it is growing.
Thanks in advance guys.

welcome to AFN your plant looks good mate still has some time to go i think by the pic thee only issue with cutting the leaves is it will slow things down a few yellow one around the bottom is fine but nice healthy one will stress the plant somewhat and add to your harvest date in my experiance try keep trimming to before the flowering stretch to limits the chances of stunting and with your bulb autos will flower and grow under any spectrum of light iv been useing a red 600w hps for the last 6 months and it works fine best of luck with your grow heres some rep for getting a journal going:pass::slap::welcome:

If you can tuck some leaves away rather than taking them off, you won't slow it down as much. See if you can do that? Anyway that's a frosty looking plant, have a bit of this: :slap:

yeah thats a question thats really up to you who you listen to mate. people are really split down the middle when it comes to plant abuse. i pulled a hundred leaves off every other day for 5 or 6 weeks last time and got a crackin harvest. from my understanding, defol in veg prevents stretch but your plants shouldnt be growing up the way anymore anyway so pruning will make the plant think its in danger and focus more of its energy to producing bigger buds for a better chance of survival. arguably this can also produce stronger thc as this too is viewed as a defence mechanism. i vote for abuse every time but ive seen just as many people do just aswell without any trimming or training so its a "yes with an if, no with a but" kinda one to answer as best i can lol. lookin sweet though man, shes frosting up nicely : )

I agree.... tuck tuck tuck... i cut some leaves that majorly cover bud sites with great resukts... but tucking cant go wrong

Thanks for the reply, the more i look at this one and think about it, i shouldn't have cut my others, the size difference between this and them is huge, this keeps on going and the leaves don't seem to be fading yet, but like i said i know now i trimmed and chopped far too soon, the buds on this one are over twice the size of my previous ones, the top cola is the size of a coke can if not bigger, am excited as to how big this is going to be when finished.

Grrr me and my impatience with my others, but hey ho we learn as we go.
