Do I need to buy the 2.7 calibration solution? Do we even use the ec side of the meter? I thought we just used the ppm side

what do I need to buy to calibrate the ppm?

I have ph storage solution do I store my ec pen in this also? Or do u store the ec pen dry?

I promise I have read for myself about all of this but just ended up confused. I know that I will get the answers that I need here! I always do!:thanks:

Great tool! Calibration is not required it is calibrated at the factory. This pen will read in EC, 500 PPM, or 700 PPM scales. If you are in the USA set it to the 500 (Hanna) scale the rest of the world uses EC. You need to clean the probe every two weeks with a couple of drops of Soft Scrub and your finger gently rub the face and rinse well. Just store with the cap on. Soaking is not necessary like a PH pen.

Handy chart of equivalencies :

I think in the Hanna Scale (500 PPM) but lots of articles use EC. It is easy for me to remember that EC 1.0 = 500 PPM Hanna but 1.3 or .4 I don't remember that so I have a desktop shortcut to that above chart.

Be careful I might be stoned - oh wait I am :haha:
I love helping people and learning new stuff. I am very opinionated but not always right. I don't change my mind easy but respect the heck out of people willing to take their time to teach me a lesson. In many ways I am just the librarian. I enjoy research and researching. Glad I could be of assistance.

PS I am retired at home with Covid keeping me in, I can only watch so much TV. So I am here a lot of time to help.
