New Grower Blue Dream’matic journal (Fastbuds)

I’m fairly new here and this will be my first grow ever. So still researching and learning all that I can. Pumped to see my first grow pan out and looking forward to a lot of interaction with other growers on this platform. Please give all the advice you guys have ! These two blue dreams are looking healthy so far. Just ph balanced water right now for the first week. (6.1-6.2) Then I’ll be feeding cal mag and the general hydroponics trio. I’ll follow along a chart that’s similar to this.


Feed schedule​

Mix order as follows: (room temp first) cal mag—micro—gro—bloom --ph water

**Proper PH- 5.5-6.3
Veg ph: 6.0-6.5

Flower ph: 5.5-6.1

**Per gallon on feeding

Seedling
Days 1-7 just Ph balanced water

7 days old start feeding
Day 8 (week 1)

cal mag- 2ml

Micro - 1ml

Gro - 1ml

Bloom - .5ml

Week 2-4
Cal mag 2ml
Micro 2.5ml
Gro 2.5
Bloom 1ml

Week 5-6 (early flowering) m
Cal mag 2ml
Micro 2ml
Gro 1ml
Bloom 2ml

Week 7-8 (middle of flower stage)
Cal mag 2ml
Micro 2ml
Gro .5ml
Bloom 2ml

Week 9-10 (late flower stage)
Cal mag 0ml
Micro 2ml
Gro 0ml
Bloom 4ml

Lemme know what you guys think! About to begin day 8 which was suggested to start their first feeding. Should I have 10%-20% runoff on first real watering ? Or is that later down the line in a few days? (The first 7 days the girls were just fed ph water with a spray bottle lightly)

Subbed up mate. Im growing fastbuds as well right now.
Lookin good besides some broken links can only see 3 pics..

My suggestions would be ph 5.5 for germ then 5.8 until mid bloom then 6.0 or slightly higher.

Calmag no more than 1ml p/l if using RO / soft water.
Tap water goes well with 0.5 ml.
Only in severe cal/mag deficiencies id use more than the above by 50% maximum. And only for a watering or two then back to normal dose.

Do you measure ec?
If so, days 10 to bloom, are 0.8 ec +-
Early bloom to mid bloom 1.0 to 1.4 depends on genetics. Mid bloom we start lowering doses and last 7 days only unadjuated ph tap water ..

I appreciate the feedback and the sub !! So I’m growing in coco coir/perlite (70/30) ratio. Would that change the ph question? Also using plain tap sink water with a ph tester !

hi and @Okie4 they up and out and look grand for a week as a new/first time grower i think we should put this thread in the new growers section
the medium...the fancy word they have for whats in the pot a soil medium tends to be low 6 ish ph.a cococo medium likes mid,high 5 ph ish cococo also tends to like a lot more cal/mag than soil, but i is just a stoner eejit not a grower

Yes mate i do the same ratios +-
Tap water + 0.5ml p/l cal mag. Then base nutea to 0.8 ec from day 10

If they green keep that. If yellowish bring up.
If cal or mag defficiency appear, use 1ml p/l for 2 waterings. Then back to 0.75 just to be sure but 0.5 should do the trick if u add bloom nutes later and wana keep the ec in range. Water every day to 10-20% runoff.

Awesome! I’ll take your advice to the garden for sure! That helps a lot :smoking: so even if my medium is someone dark and appears a little wet.. Still go ahead and water every day? And I also don’t have an EC meter or whatever they call the device. Just a ph tester

Get an ec meter. 20$ .
And yessir water every day to a runoff..
leaves should be green to dark green and feel nice and strong and not thin and fragile, they should as well direct themselves to the light and each pair of leaves look like its praying.... This is actually the moment i look for every grow. Green strong praying leaves.

UPDATE:

First week of watering with nutes has gone well so far. But I did notice some very light discoloring on the base leaf of “Ricky”. Not sure if it’s anything to worry about or not. (Hard to see in the photo, it’s the blurry faint coloring on the bottom base of leaf)

Will continue to monitor it and see how it moves forward. I examined all leaves, above/underneath and found no insects etc. Also looking to spray with neem oil as a preventative soon! When and how should I do this? I have read online that spraying young plants can be risky. Is this true ?
