Dreaming of a Black (cream) Christmas
Hi Folks
I'm back in the saddle and riding my way towards a sweet christmas treat!
Dropped my last Black Cream bean into some coco last night ... we'll see what happens!
Currently my MS0006 is in for repairs and servicing (the guys at GN are great!)
Here's the setup for this one.
Medium: Canna Coco Pro Plus
Nutes: Rhizotonic, Coco A&B, Cal/mag, Boost, Dutchpro Explode
Lights: Currently 150w Blue CFL ... Will swap out for MS0006 when ready.
Pot: It's my bigger 11 litre pot (perhaps too big!)
6/7/14 - Dropped bean in coco. Given 80ml with equivalent of 4ml per litre rhizotonic @ ph 5.7
Light height 12 inches, temp 76f, humidy 55%
Next move .... wait for it to pop and stick the circulation fan on.
I'll try to keep this weekly update if possible with pictures. (I may be tempting fate getting the journal up before she pops lol ..we'll see!)

Five days after popping into the coco, she's raised her head.
Out of the 2 i've grown so far, i've had a complete purple one and a slightly purple one Fingers crossed for another purple!
Feeding wise, they're getting very little. 0.75ml per litre of coco A&B brings the EC up to 0.8 for me. (That is the figure that canna recommend as the lowest EC for coco) I also throw in Rhizotonic (about 4 ml .. may be a touch more if i go too far with the PH down, I use a little rhizo to get the ph where i want it (5.7))
Nothing much to see really - Little heads poking out of big pots filled with coco
I've been doing some reading - and maybe the pot i've put the black cream in is too big. 11 litre.
I've read that with coco, 6.5 litres should be fine and my other pot is about that size (but it's got a little white widow in it).
We'll see how she does!

No photos yet, but she is healthy and growing nicely as expected! I will get photos soon!

Water background ec 0.5
This time she was started with 4ml per litre of rhizotonic and 0.75ml of A&B.
Then watered down to EC of 1.0 and PH'd to 5.7-5.8
I've been really skimpy with the watering. First few week she had about 200ml and second feeding about 300ml.
Already looking a bit pale to me (although under a blue CFL) to i watered with rhizo, A&B and a touch of Calmag (mine has high N in it) which brought my EC to 1.3 - a couple of days on and no leaf tip burning (she likes it!)
I got my MS006 back today after repairs so looking forward to installing that tongiht - setting 24 inches above the plants and (hopefully) watching them go BOOM!
Temps 75-80f
RH 40-50%
Looks like i'll need to get the tube heater running when i swap out the CFL for LED
