Lighting Blackstar 240 Q & A

Hey gang, I was looking at maybe joining the blackstar cult. I had a few questions from y'all about the 240 unit. For those of you growing with just a single unit in a roughly 2x2 space what did you yield off of it? I'm thinking of getting a dr60 and dropping one in there but I want to hear from everyone about their personal experience with them.

Yes, I have used the search function but I wanted to narrow it down to these parameters.

hey piggy whats good bro just chopped a cpl of plants that i grew with the 240 for the first time and also used hempy for the first time and ended up with a oz off one and a oz off the other two. two of the smaller ones were kinda stunted but the buds from all three were very nice and dense. got a fourth that was in there with them but has been under the 240 by itself for about 3wks now and it is doing great will prob pull of dbl what i did on the others.
this girl has been enjoying the last 3wks of having the 240 to herself.

ordered mine on the 7th and still hasnt arrived, but if i were you id send muddy a PM he has 2 or 3 of them in his cab from what ive read, also t shirt ninja is the led expert in these parts so he may know a thing or two, after all he does have that ballin ass icon under his pic lolol

Right, but I was asking people who have completed grows with single units in a roughly 2x2 space what their imput was. I figured muddy has his hands full training all the pups already. That is a ballin' ass icon, isn't it? Never thought I'd be jealous of little splats of pixels :drool:

Unless you're just looking to grow 1 at a time, I'd put a 240 in there and grow either 4 smaller plants in 2 gallon pots or 3 bigger ones in 3 gallon. With good growing techniques you could potentially reach yields of 4-6 oz. per grow, maybe more.

Mi5 is always a good choice. 3 or 4 of them and you'll get yourself a fine harvest with a BS 240.

Just remember to keep your light higher if you want to cover a full 2x2 area but that is decent size to target. The one thing I have noticed with one in a 2x2 is the plants will lean in towards the light if it isnt high enough.

Thanks for the tip Scott! Is that due to the plants leaning in to the core concentration of the light as apposed to them accepting an even spread with it higher up?
