After doing a little pressing of my plant with a local guy and really, really enjoying the fruits of our labor I decided Rosin is the future for me. There is just something about how immediate it hits me. How it makes me for the first time feel like I'm finally getting in to real medical territory with the affects of what I grow and use. Way more so than any other extraction. And its potent. And the taste is unreal. And you don't have to spend a ton of money to get setup, but of course you could if you wanted to.

All prices in US.

10 ton machine shop bench hydraulic press ($200)

I searched hard on the net for the plates and controller and considered all my options and decided I like the options, price and onshore business model of New Vape. You should check out their website as it has a lot of products besides rosin plates etc. And their rosin plate product options are quite large. Collars or cages, bimetals, different shapes and adapters for different presses. And I got to talk to real people when looking at what products to get. Can't do that with offshore stuff from China on amazon. And the principle at newvape, Edwyn, personally tested my plates and PID and heaters to make sure they came up to temp properly and locked in on temp with no variation. Its hard to find this kind of personal service in the world today and products that are made in the US still and at very good price points compared to the rest of the market.

This is a picture of all that I ordered, unboxed.

New Vape 2x3 prepress ($60)

Nice clean machining. And great price for a prepress.

3x5 basic entry level aluminum plates. ($100).

Great price for basic plates. Universal collar for most presses. Holes for heater cartridges. Included material to protect press ram from heat.

The controller with 4 XLR outputs ($125) and one of the heaters ($35 each).

Once I get this all setup and working I'll post some more information on the use of it. And maybe do a review too.

I have the newvape pressing plate kit married to the hydraulic bench press now. Pressed a dozen times today while working on the temp, duration, pressure and how much flower to use. I have a lot of flower to press so I'll have lots of opportunity to work on the process. Every press I learn something and make adjustments. I have 8 mason jars of Meph Sour Livers to press right now. I haven't bothered to check yield yet since I'm on a steep learning curve now.

Good looking rosin bro.

Nice job @lunarman looks mighty tasty to me just looking at it. I'm still trying to get mine setup in the spot where I'll have it. But being limited to what I can lift/move around I have to wait till I get some help.
