never give up my man try some seed stockers beans super cheap almost impossible to kill and some very good big yielding plants :pass:

Heard an interesting comment the other day. You can’t have for example “auto amnesia” because by crossing amnesia with another sub-species (ruderalis) you’ve created an entirely new hybrid. I heard someone say, now I’ve tried auto cheese I know what all the fuss about uk cheese is. Well no you don’t actually! By mixing cheese with ruderalis all the fine subtleties of the original strain are completely altered.

if and this is a big if the person /company has done the work and taken the time then the traits of lets say uk cheese should come though in the smoke and effects but you are 100% right when you say that the small and distinct features will be lost in the crossing with a ruderalis or another auto flower just have to look at it as a taste of what you could have if your willing to run mothers and clones never mind finding the mother in the first place easyier said than done in my opinion if you take a cheese and cross it into another line its no longer cheese and should not be called as such and that goes for anything this also crosses over into photo period clone only cuts if you take a forum cut of the cookies and cross it with something you cant keep calling it cookies with some new word attached (e.g) animal cookies . orange cookies , garlic cookies .platnum cookies anyways to sum up i agree with above the comment

I'm at that point with the autos why waste 3 months and don't get a half ounce from a couple plants and I can take photo strains and get a pound

cant argue with that mate autos are definitly a bit more tricky to get the best out of them i recently started a photo grow just to see if i could bump up the weight im getting problem is takes 5 months to train and grow out a photo compared to a ten week auto
if you have the space and time id go photos if space and time are a issue autos are the only way imo

Some good discussion here.

I have to give a slightly different angle on the 5 months vs 10 weeks thing though.....

Yes, the initial start off with photos grown from seed is lengthy. Maybe 8+ weeks vegging and training and then 8-10 weeks flowering. BUT....

If you intend to keep a mother and clone, then really you are gonna get a crop every 8-10 weeks? Mother and clones in one tent, flowering plants in another. During 8-10 weeks of flowering, take cuts from mother and start to veg. Then bang them in the flowering tent. No?

I am quite possibly missing something or being naive here as I've never grown photos but that makes sense in my mind. I think to be honest I should start off photos with just one strain. Got to make the transition easier surely.

Problem is my brain is about 53% THC and it starts to have a melt down when I think about the whole mother, clones, flowering thing too much!

no your right in what your saying about once you have your mum then its every 8 weeks or so like clockwork but the issue is you need two tents and that just not always a option for some people like me i really dunno where id squeeze even a small tent so auto work out great beleave me if i had a second tent id have a few mothers chilling in there

I hope it works out for me mate! I'm nervous of my first run. Got two tents and a spare room luckily. Have recently started working with some chippies (carpenters) so thinking of (them) building a cupboard for more stealth, with two compartments for veg and flower.

I think your being very optimistic with 8-10 weeks flowering man, when you flip the lights to 12/12...it takes around 2 weeks for Pom poms to show...then you'll have your 10 weeks flowering on top of that or are you planning to use those 2 weeks waiting for Pom poms as maybe your first 2 weeks of flower? When I did photos,I always said day 1 flowering was when you first get Pom poms, are you planning to flush them,do you include that in the 10 weeks or add it on to the end of the 10 weeks?
And 8 weeks + veg?? I used to veg 4 weeks dude, that was plenty...but up to you on how big you wanna grow them, let them get to 2ft...then flip them to 12/12...they will stretch like crazy man...prob a good 2 3rds stretch in them :pass:
