Nutrients Help My Biotabs Mephisto Grow Please

Sorry i did not do a grow journal, so no pics. Might do one at some point i suppose, still deciding.

I have not grown Daquiri lime yet but this Brooklyn Sunrise is a real nice daily smoke, i am smoking on it rn infact, i chopped on day 80. One of the nicest Diesel autos i've smoked for sure. :smoking:

Added some humidity domes and seems to be helping nicely for now. The humidity will rise naturally soon so I will be able to remove the bottles then and normal RH should take me to where i want to be about.

EDIT: Just given a half dosage feeding of organic root formula (for all stages) I picked up earlier. Will see how it goes and it is a once weekly feeding thing, so might try to squeeze in 1-2 more feedings of this and then drop it from schedule, as the Biotabs will activate in approx 10-14 days from now.

With Biotabs do you water to runoff? Currently I have not been doing that as the girls are in large 3-5 gallon pots so have just been adding 500ml +- when necessary.

Does nasty stuff build up in the soil with Biotabs or are these salts only associated with hydro setups? Sounds logical to me that it might need to drain out the "gunk" somewhere. If yes i am gonna have to pick up some saucers for my big pots or customize it as currently water will just run to the floor. Not too hard to sort out anyway.

Is it maybe possible to avoid water till runoff until a later stage? Say after 2-3 weeks? Or should i just let the pots completely dry up and then throw 2L throw through a 3 gall pot and completely drench it and then rinse and repeat?

Orrrr is there another better way to go about this?

Still going quite strong I think. Couple of pics at day 5.

Tomorrow I will put 1 Biotab into each 15L pot and give first feeding of calmag. Then I will order some more Biotabs and add 1 more to each pot in about 3 weeks. Oh must grab some Bio PK for flowering stage and RotBlock on the way soon.

Few fruit flies and am picking up some Bacillus thuringiensis10% v/v early next week so shouldn't be a problem.

Can't give you an exact answer but you want to keep the microorganisms alive and happy so the goal is to have the soil constantly moist and not let it dry out. Not soggy, not dry just moist enough. There is nothing to flush so no watering till runoff necessary.

Day 6
Continue to see nice growth. Humidity between 40-60%. Temps between 23-27c. 300w TSL2000 LED. 8 seedlings, 6 pots.

Soil was maybe overwatered, especially near the bottom, whereas the top dries out quickly. Could be partly my environment and cos im using a big pot. but also think that the drainage of the soil is not perfect, time will tell.I might have packed some soil in too tight as well, but nothing crazy. I suppose I will have to take extra care to not overwater and next grow add more perlite or make the soil myself. Prob good I have noticed this before any major symptoms are showing.

Two seedlings in the same pot (pic 1 and 2). It is soon time to decide which one to keep. They are both Chemdogging by Mephisot and although I am inclined to keep the one more in the centre of the pot, I feel that the other one is slightly ahead in terms of growth and would prefer whichever plant will finish first. Though at this stage i think that is impossible to tell who will finish first. So any suggestions on which one to keep and which to cull?

Pic X is the further ahead seedling and last night i noticed the leaves starting to droop a tiny bit and the very very end of the tips turning white. 12-15 hours later and it doesnt seem to have got any worse.
I have stopped watering until moisture levels improve in the pot. As soon as moisture levels are more contained, i will be adding 1 Biotab to each 15L pot and watered with first Calmag dose. Seen Mephisto recommend putting 2 biotabs into each pot after 2-3 weeks (if planting to final container) so no rush I think.

I am planning on picking up a cheap PH pen in coming days as well. cant hurt for $10-12 after i have spent so much already :oops1:
