Hi all Ive decided to post my grow that is nearing its finish, wanted to wait until I had something worth showing. Nobody likes a grow journal that just stops part way through due to some mishap. But I am nearing harvest of my biodiesel mass autos and they have done so well I want to share the fun.

Ok as for the grow I have a 4x5 foot room with a slanted cealing about 7 feet high give or take, not the best vertical situation but whatevs. air cooled hood carbon filter in line 6" fan 1000 watt mh/hps switchable ( seems like alot of the folks around here like led but I guess I havent been converted yet )
stand alone Dwc buckets 2.5 gallon ressies. They are general hydro power grower ecos, same thing as any homebuilt 5 gallon bucket job I just came across a real good deal on em. air stones in bottom and drip rings which are only used until roots hit the water.
all canna auqua nutes.

I have three buckets two of which have biodiesel mass autos one has a northern lights blue from I think delicious seeds not sure. Oh the bios are from advanced seeds.
lights on 20/4 vegging nlb while the autos do there thing.
Today is day 64 or week 9 and a day. these autos are supposed to finish in 9.weeks and i dont know if maybe both of mine are just extra long phenos or what but one is at least a week from finsh the othere maybe longer. however on the plus side these things are insane. I have never grown autos this big and I have grown alot ( many years experienve with organic soil this is my first shot at hydro..... all i have to say is I am a full on hydro addict now, at least indoors )
I fimmed them both at three sets of nodes, left one to grow au natural and scrogeds the other although it was kindof a halfassed scrog.
I think thats enough rambling for one post, pics to follow.

Welcome to AFN man can't wait to see pics of your biodiesel mass :smokebuds: I have 3 of my own going right now, 2 of them are about 10-11 weeks old and im also using a 1000 so itll be a nice comparison :D

:five:love DWC bud.... No fun without pics though !:hot::hot::hot::hot::hot::smokebuds:

this is why it needs a new home, if i want to take advantage of the long veg those roots need more space

and here is a crappy HID lined shot of the bio's and the new cooler bucket atday 63 or week 9.

that pic doesnt do these babies justice il try and get better ones tonite. the #1 scrogged plant is in front its probably 2-2 1/2 feet tall and the natural one #2 is behind it at least three feet tall.

now i have grown in organic soil indoors outdoorz and in greenhouse for alot of years and have done alot of autos. my best were big devil 2's which got too about 2-1/2 feet tall the best of which netted an ounce but average was closer to a half ounce each. All i gotta say is i am a full blown hydro convert. the growth is just outrageous, im not one to count chickens before they hatch but i wouldnt be suprised if i smash 3 oz's per plant with these.
Ill try and pull them outa the room for better shots tonite. oh by the waythe smell on these so far isnt overly strong but a nice fruityness when close and the longer they go the more diesely they are getting. cant waiy to try them. oh y i will flush for at least a week with plain phd water once the trichs are where i want them.
peace

thanks for stoppin by guys, mainemedical are you dwc ing or soil, and 10-11 weeks?! damn how close are yours to finish? I guess 9 weeks is the overly optamistic breeder estimate huh.

kinda off subject but viracocha does your name have anything to do with mayan/olmec/ inca valley traditional legends of a white bearded somewhat jesus like teacher of men? been into ancient religions lately just finished a book about the inca valley

Awesome bud ... thats a monster right there.... :jaw: lol 3oz ... more like 6 if all goes well :D DWC is the daddy !.

Yea you got my name bang on bro... literal translation "foam from the sea". thought it fitting for a DWC nut like me(I do not consider myself a god ok !) ... Im highly into pre/ancient history myself .Avid fan of Graham Hancock ect ... Inca stone work we could not replicate today, giza, ballbek, puma punku , the list goes on ... (i say Inca but doubt they built the original structures ,more like occupied them on discovery is my theory !.). Don't even get me started my friend lol...or i will clog up your thread with crazy talk before you even get going ha . Plants are amazing though, good to see... check my mazar bud .Shes a monster n all

#1 biodiesel mass, 5 gallon bucket next to it so you can compare. you can see a power grower is the same thing just with stupid hexagonal sides so that they wont work with anything else. Not bashing them they are great but when I upgrade to RDWC Im goin to have to get all five gallons so net pots will swap around. oh well Im sure Ill find a use for them. Maybe they will be greenhouse dwc buckets?.... sorry stoned again got off topic

here is a side shot, red lighter in the bottom right corner for size comp, these buds are impressive but I think they are still going to fill out considerably

top view so the screen sgould have been way larger for this plant but it still had a positive effect spreading the top out somewhat evenly.

On to biodiesel #2 ....................

BOOOSH!
IMG_20130415_204928_zpsf0548e3b.jpg

:jaw: soooooo in all honesty I didnt realize this thing was getting this big, #1 is on a 6" tall box to make up the hieght difference on #2 so light distance is more even. So #2 is kinda hidden behind #1. When both are pulled out of there you can really see the size of this thing.

Well I hope you enjoyed those because Im not pulling them back out until harvest, they barely fit through the door this time. I changed the rezzies three days ago with pk13/14, flores a+b, cannazym, and cal mg+. oh I forgot to mention I stunted these in the first two weeks ( noob mistake fed nutes too soon, even though I KNEW i shouldnt. Thats what I get for not listening to the voices in my head ) so i think this auto has more potential. anyway I fed them at about 2.1 ec ph 5.7 which is the most I would suggest giving them as that was pushing it, but I will let them eat n drop down ec for about a week then start flush.

Alright viracocha and everyone else.... not only is crazy talk allowed, its absolutely encoureged!!!
thats an awsome idea for your name dude... foam of the sea. sick.
And graham hancock? thats my dog! fingerprints of the gods is the book i was talking about, I really enjoy his work because he is an extremely inteligent man but hhis background is in journalism and he isnt "traditionaly" trained in the subjects he covers so he provides an unbiased view to what he writes about. Just a dude who gets interested in something and tries to track down the truth for himself, which I have a great respect for. that goes for anyone that is willing to think for him or herself.
But no worrries man I have some pretty wild perspectives on reality myself. Id always seen a correlation in the underlying messages of MOSTall religous beliefs around the world and in some cases, scratch that, Alot of cases the stories are even identical just with different names. A couple years ago I saw graham on a joe rogan podcast of all places and I was like .... this dude makes some damn good points!

.......uh anyway, sorry to anyone that has no idea what the hell Im ranting about I get side tracked..... on occasion. peace

Looking awesome man :slap: those things are beast! They look like they have a long way to go still but if you're willing to wait its really gonna pay off nicely :D
