Hey guys just wondering would it be ok to start using biogrow and bio heaven now 1/2 strength, plant is about 9cm but 5-6 sets of true leaves already?

Soil that was watered before planting seedling is just now fully dry

Hi, I’m a newbie so don’t take my words as gospel, but I had a similar question about biobizz nutes. One of the moderators, @archie gemmill sent me the feed table below for a medium feeding plant:

I’m coming up to the end of week 4 for my ladies and they seem to be happy so far with this ‘menu’!

I’m not using biogrow, I’m using fish mix (it stinks lol). Maybe I should start adding some heaven now instead of waiting till week 9!

Hi guys just wondering the reason for the leaves of plant curling under done a bit of research and am none the wiser. Soil was quite dry could underwatering cause this? Or could it be too much nutes?

I only have given 2 feeds started first feed 1ml per litre biogrow then second feed upped to 2ml per litre that was 2 days ago don’t think that would be too much.

Come to think about it the 2 feeds I have the plant was with 250ml of water with nutes when soil was dry could this cause toxicity due to soil being very dry and only getting a small concentrated amount of nutes? I have just fed with 1 litre of water to 10% run off hoping for that best

I was in a similar position on my first grow, I was using a bat mix fertilised soil, and after 20 days decided to add .5ml grow and .5ml alagamic. My leaves curled down at the tips like yours and after a few days they went yellow. Your plant looks a very deep green and the tips have clawed. So looks like a bit of Nitrogen overdose! I wouldnt worry, a few feeds of water and she be fine! Worth tagging @Waira and @archie gemmill They were very helpful during my grow.

i have a plant at day 28 in a 3L pot and this is what its been fed
yep the claw...different from a droop like over and under watered.ya see the way ya cant bend the first knuckle of yer finger on its own without the second ? a droop all the knuckles bend but the claw its only the first knuckle.....if ya can imagine a leaf has knuckles hmm can someone interpret for me ? or can i have 3 more joints and try and say that again leaves dont have knuckles.
250ml was a small concentrated dose at 2ml/L........that would mean you added 0.5ml to the 250ml ? to make a 2ml/L mix ?
yer pots are upside down should be 2 rows without holes at the top,next time
they are 10-15L pots ? 250ml over a week aint much(but they young)
my gauge when to water is a spare pot.potted up with soil never watered and left in the corner...lift all yer pots up and down every day try and get a feel.a 250/500/1L bottle of water.
flushing.....(technically a flush is x3 the volume of the pot) a flush is almost allways the last thing to do/and 9/10 times its the wrong thing to do.
i think they could do with 1-2L of plain water (if they 10-15L pots) ....but if the pots are heavy,dont risk overwatering them wait a few days then 1L of plain water.
but take what eejits in the tinternet say with a pinch of salt,and allways get a 4th opinion

@archie gemmill your spot on with everything man it’s a 15l airpot... i get the knuckle thing haha whole finger = overwater/underwater and first knuckle = too much nutes and in this instance nitrogen I watered with 1 litre this morning and next to no run off so I will go with 1.5 to 2 litres next water.

I put 1ml per litre biogrow topmax and bioheaven in the feed this morning as I watered with a litre of plain water the last time so assumed it would be ok stupid newbie mistake just going to get plain water for the next two feeds you live and learn I suppose thanks for the help guys @loftgrowsoldier

She is looking ok the feed this morning must not have done any harm just tiny bit of clawing

Doing 2 plain water feeds in a row is cutting the nutrient level (already seems low) down to 1/3rd.

Most growers feed, give some nutes, with every watering. Even those in 'organic' soil seem to feed something everytime, such as teas, top feed, etc. If nothing else, consider adding a small amount of calcium/magnesium supplement, particularly if using low ppm/salts water.
