Live Stoner Chat Big Shout Out!

Thanks @Fitzy thats what I’m thinking too. It just needs to be fed when watering. Last time I fed them was this past Monday

You didn't feed them for 5 days?

Coco needs to be fed at least daily. Except for seedlings. I'd give less water more often. I feed my seedlings with a syringe. 60ml or less is more than enough for a while. What are you pHing at? What EC/ppm? Not sure if I asked.

Well you do not need to fertigate coco every day especially when the plant is a seedling. You do not want it to dry-out at all but sometimes you can go a day or two without drying. What is important is that any day you do fertigate that you do so to a 20% run-off by the end of the day. Just fertigate the entire pot slowly until run-off. Doing it over several smaller feedings is best but if your time only permits one fertigation that will do. Fertigate two hours after lights on and before two hours prior to lights out.

Measuring your nutrients in ml or grams or ounces or spoonful is a mistake. You need a quality EC meter so you know the PPMs going in. There is little to no buffering power in coco. With the Mega Crop you probably only need to add 50 PPM of Cal-Mag. A little (just a little) extra iron in coco is beneficial. Buy some iron only or rinse a rusty nail in your bucket for a minute or two. Make sure it is only iron and not galvanized.

:goodluck:

I feel like you read only my first sentence and stopped lol. The second one specifically said not seedlings.

Dry nutrients should be measured by mass. Final EC and pH should be measured with meters before fertigation. Coco doesn't HAVE to be fertigated daily but if you aren't why bother using coco, use soil.

I was just reinforcing that idea with a more detailed explanation.

I totally agree, if you do not want to present fresh in balance nutrients to the plant all day long then go with Live soil and water only when needed; Skip the coco.

@twentyeight.threefive i feed every time I water. I thought I needed to let the soil dry a bit. Bad idea?
Perfect. Yes for a seedling I'd let it dry out a little. You're earlier pictures show a medium that might have been fed a little too much, at least for me.

Small plants in large pots are easy to overwater. When the root system hasn't filled the pot I don't feed too much. Once the plant has filled the pot with roots you can't overwater coco.
