Everything I've read says that autos don't like to be crimped or supercropped, but those girls look like they're doing just fine! Have you tried crimping on other auto strains?

Check my grows, you'll find I crimp most of them and it ain't harmed 'em none. Don't know why it should; it ain't exactly stressful. Was taught how to do it by a guy here in OZ and I've perfected it on photos long ago. Seems to me autos like it too...!

South you are SLAYING IT! :clap: the smells on these girls is more on the milder side (at least to my damaged sense of smell) have been told
By several people they have an orange terp to them, to me they have that affy earthy scent with a hint of sweetness that my nose picks up..... They are tastey girls and man you really impressed me showing them leggy girls who's boss! I got 3f1 YDB's that are all male, I think I'm going to do a massive run of the f2's and f3's and backcross this, so come fall the portal and probably autobean stalk will have some regs for freebies...: or through contests on either site.... Great job so far! Looking forward to watching the tail end of the show....

Syder, thank you! That's really good to know. I've got a serious height restriction in my grow space, so was only choosing strains that stayed under 2 to 2.5 feet. Knowing that I can crimp an auto means I can be a little more free in choosing strains. I'll check out your grows!

Hey man, I'd love to get my hands on some of that backcross when they're going around; I don't mind leggy chicks: they yield very well if ya know how manage them. Yeah, I'm looking forward to the finish myself.

Cheers Nuggz. Yeah, bend away bro 'cause even some of them shortish suckers often grow into the lights when ya use a cab small as mine. You get the hang of this crimping thing and you'll jam monsters into a shoebox, I did -- even grew me a think different in my shoebox!

I'll front up and just say this: I don't believe in topping, except in unavoidable circumstances. In my view it disrupts a plant's chemistry, it's hormonal levels, whenever you take away any biomass (that includes thinning fan leaves, though some plants can actually take a good thinning without much fuss). When topped, a plant has to restore and concentrate hormones at the new apical stem(s), and that takes time it could devote to growing/budding. Instead, I prefer crimping/supercropping because it induces the same response in all lateral branches without disrupting the pants chemistry and slowing it down. Yes, I have experimented back in the day, as close to clinical as a bunch of young yahoos could make it, and the crimped clones always out-yielded the topped ones by varying amounts and always finished around a week earlier. Just my dime on the matter anyhow....

I love crimping, or supercropping as the kids call it now. It really boosts yields and fattens buds!

I'm the same with photos because of height restrictions..I Think they Love a bit of bondage......

Girls are Looking Good.....mine are Just starting to develop their smells too..outdoor.
When you are Finished..we will make a Short KISS out of your method with your photos for the Experimental section.
Next time someone Asks about supercropping Autos..we can refer them to it.
