Hi. I’m curious what’s the best way to check the Ph of my soil? I do have a meter. But it’s for checking ph of the water. I really need a pen for soil but they are expensive! My two oldest plants are in about the second week of flower and I noticed yesterday the bottom leaves are starting to yellow a little bit. Could be some other issue but it looks kind of like it may be locking out the plants have only been given water ar 6.5 and a couple of doses of microbes no nutrients yet. I don’t think they could have used that much food yet there’s PLENTY of food right in the soil. The bottom third of the pot has sohum soil. The middle third is sohum cut with two thirds of a lighter soil. And the top layer is a very light mixture of soil mixed with coco very light on the nutrients. I ran the same thing last time and had some slightly burnt leaf tips early on but ended up with bigger flowers than I’ve ever had . Some of the bigger plants did eventually run short of food but the smaller ones were fine the whole run without giving any extra food. Anyway I’d like to check ph first and rule that out first before I do anything else. What’s the best way to do this ? Make a slurry? They are still only in like the second week of flower they shouldn’t be yellowing out at the bottom yet! Suggestions? Thanks! I will post up a couple of pictures later have to work today.

Surry test is right if you don't have a soil meter. How many days are they? How big is the pot? Pictures would help a lot.

They sound hungry.

Here’s galaxybrain #2. Normally I wouldn’t worry about yellowing leaves like this but it seems a little too early for it to be happening. Plants are in 5gal pots. With a bottom layer of some pretty hot soil. I really don’t think that they would have depleted all that food quite yet but I could be wrong. A couple runs back I started having problems with ph. I switched brands of soil and last run was epic. I haven’t done anything different this time around. Am I worrying too much? Because I tend to do that
