I notice these lights give a white light where as normal LED is pink at full spectrum. Do these lights imitate the sun better with the white light? I'm a bit confused how the different colour can still give the same spectrum

Gets us closer to the mcCree curve.. Blurple panels were a bad mistake.. Yes they will grow weed, but starving them of lots of the spectrum.. Look how limited the hps spectrum is and people have been growing under them for 40+ years.. Quality cobs give off a much fuller spectrum, while being much much more efficient.. More than twice as efficient as hps in producing photons, in certain applications..
The best part about building your own is u can change cobs when new ones come out, swap chips for different spectrums, and expand as u need too..

and im very happy to now be in the cob game.im still running goliath.so will be good to compare how the cobs do against goliath.these migro cobs also have a dimmer switch on the driver.can go from 10 pecent to 100 percent im keeping them at 100 lol for maximum power. Happy growing every1

Five i dont have a clue.i think the cobs are a mix of colours to give full spectrum.this is all new to me.i didnt even know these lights were cobs until a grower told me ha ha happy growing

One of the big advantages to running the cobs is that you can dim and then move the lights closer to the plant canopy. Doing this allows you to get the same PPFD (amount of light) while using less energy in veg. then as you transition into flower power up and move the lights up from the canopy this gives you maximum penetration to reach lower buds - of course there is a practical limit to the penetration but still better than other types of lights.

Looks like I'll be getting some cob lights for the next upgrade lol. I love the fact that they have no fans in them so they stay silent

Man thanks mate ur bang on with ur info.shane at migro the maker of the light suggests the exact same as u.so there on 50 percent power now a foot above plants.so thanks alot bro top work.will be starting a journel for them today as autos are above ground good times ahead
