Quick update. I'm under attack!! all my seedlings are damping off as soon as they sprout Iv cleaned everything, humidity is fine I'm at a loss.My out door vegetable garden has been wiped out by a combination attack of early blight grey mold and powdery mildew. I've never seen anything like it. I'D give you some pics but that new camera I bought Arrived DOA new one should be here this week.if it wasn't for herb Id be pulling my hair out. I have ordered a bottle of hydroguard and will try to inoculate the rockwool cube, and spray it on the seedling to see if the baculis can out compeat whatever this is attacking me.

pics would help greatly, what are your bucket temps? Also how much air are you pumping in?

Nope not DWC res temps are kept between 65-70 tho i try to keep closer to 70 F. Auto's don't like cold feet. anyway new grow is up! i am using hydroguard this time around,and it's the first time I have ever purposely contaminated my system. anyway today is day one.with any luck the will make it the week without damping off. I have never had such a bad run. I have had a lone seedling damp here and there but never an entire set 3 times running! I decided not to wait for the new seeds to arrive so These are Robo pheno S1's from the robo x Meth cross I've been pissing with.

Just wanted to add to the log. I have never used hydroguard befor. I do not dump the res from the beginning till harvest. So My plan is to add half strength maintenance doses throughout the grow unless i experience an overgrowth.though that would likely only occur if I allow my temps to stay to high. Also I will likely skip the first weeks foiler just to be sure they are not gonna damp off I may apply some maxicrop and aminos with an eye dropper down the stem into the cube instead.I like the extra boost in root growth.also the cube never gets flooded & by then I won't be watering by hand and the cube will go dry.So none of the maxicrop solution will make it to the res. I will eventually add it to the res but not for weeks, when i can't foliar anymore. I add as little extra to the res as possible, since I don't dump imbalances can happen if I get creative.I feed strait maxibloom and foliar seaweed+aminos. foiler is the most effective way of delivery anyway. I also use a wetting agent made by dutch master called Saturator Gold.you spay with lights on. Whatever that may be a gimmick but it really covers the leaf well and I swear you can almost watch is suck in.I rinse whatever isn't dry afterwards or you can get a little tip burn.
Oh ya before I forget, I added nutes to the res as well today. 35 grams maxiBloom and only half a teaspoon ph up put me @ PH 5.7 & 245 ppm @ I called it good.

So far so good. The hydroguard works well & the res already has a nice earthy smell. every morning I hold my breath when I open the tent. afraid to see em all shriveled up! but all is well. hopefully it will be a boring three weeks.Then all the fun starts.
Oh ya!!! I bought some vrap called reflectix to insulate my res. Workes like a charm. Im down to 3-4 2 liter bottles a day to stay between 65 - 70F

PH meter Took a shit.Luckily I had 70 bucks in my WTF holy shit fund. new one got here this morning & all is well and on track if they don't damp off by friday we gonna call this thing started! Oh ya For you penny pinchers out there,I use battery electrolyte AKA sulfuric acid as ph down. the crap is crazy cheap works well & don't add any extra P to the system. Cya friday.

High and board thought id post. Nothing new on the grow, pics tomorrow @ day 7. I added another 7 grams maxibloom. One of the girls looks a little light colored could be phenotype but they are growing fast. ppm 280 they look good & good vigor for s1's. I'm happy so far. I have a 50% chance of getting the pheno I need to complete this seed run for this pheno. 50% of the phenos from this run will be the one I want.after I self this run the next will be almost 100% homogeneous.
My football sized cfl I have had for 4 years has finally met it's maker.That light sucked so bad but I grew so many clones seedlings and veggies for outside with it i'm actually a little melancholy over it!Well I did have it a long time. Anyway I ordered the stuff to build a small 100W cob to take its place. I got a Vero 29 4000k 90 cri led it will blow that old football CFL outa the water, and only cost 60-70 bucks to get the parts for. that's cheaper than a hps 150 and will be similar in output! Ill post pics of the process though i'm no good at tutorials.the led and the angle aluminium for the frame is already here. the rest from china will be a few weeks.hopefully by time my cuttings have rooted. I take them in two weeks from tomorrow. anyhow that's it for today!

Day 8 another 7 grams maxibloom that puts the total @ 49 grams so far. (ppm 340) from here till week 3-4 or so i'll be adding 7 grams maxibloom daily to lower the ph instead of ph down, target is half strength @ week two, three quarter strength @ week 3 then i'll play it by ear until full strength. I DID go ahead and do my weekly foliar they looked right and I hate to deviate from my schedual.

BC EDIT: Foliar consisted of.... 4 oz water, 1 ml maxicrop ,1 match heads worth L-aminos and 8ml Saturator gold <----takes the place of fulvic

@ Day 10 and all is well. another 7 grams maxibloom and one gallon water addback, ppm 375 ph 5.7. They look a little hungry,but I will stay on schedule.You can see a leaf daformity passed on from the crystal meth. good sign as the mother of these also carried it and I'm basically looking for her again.
