Yes, the guineas will usually group together by age. I have one left from my first batch, the other 5 are from my second. That one is mostly off by itself. Not far from the others but still not part of the group. All of mine I have now are Pearl Grays. I had some Lavenders and Chocolates in the batch that took off on me last year. Mine are pretty tame as well, but not tame enough to pet. I use white millet to train them. With a little patience they can become quite responsive.

Ah yes, I've had goats chew on my plants as well. LOL, that's how I did my first experiment with topping autos. One of the goats nipped the tops off of two 4 week old plants.

This morning the girls are looking AMAZING!

The amount of bud growth on the Purple Cheese is outstanding. I can no longer see any stem on the top 8 inches of the plant, just nice bud. :)

Well the girls just got another shot of nutes. I went half strength this time. Hope all continues well....

They are starting to smell so wonderful. When the aroma of cannabis overpowers the aroma of pig, emu, chicken and goat shit, you know it smells nice ;)

i do miss living in an area with the space for animals, i didn't grow then so never had the chance for my birds to groom them for me :) we used to have bantam chicken's and i loved those lil birds had a all black one with the feathers that all curled up who walked sideways everywhere it went like a crab, and would jump up on your lap if you squatted down or sat on our bench. i do like the idea of cannabis masking the smell of other things for a change thou :)

I sat the girls out in the garden about thirty minutes ago. The sun is just a blazin' today, so they should look real nice this evening.

Is it normal for them to be sucking up large amounts of water at this stage? They seem to really be drinking it up here in the last few days. I watered/fed yesterday around midday. I have been watering until the pots feel heavy, and watering when they are light and soil feels dry. (It is hard to get my finger down into the soil due to the crazy root growth). Well this morning they are light and airy feeling (except for the small plant). So I know that the soil is NOT just drying out quickly, as they would all three be dry if this was the case. So I gave the two big girls a good drenching in just plain water (no nutes).

I was hoping to see some coloration in the buds of the Purple Cheese by now, but I am unfortunately not. Do colors typically take a while to show up? Or can purple hues come along after curing?

Thanks for any help.

Given the size of your plants and pots I'm not surprised that they are sucking up the water so fast. That's pretty normal for a big plant in a small pot. Just make sure you get about 10% run off with every watering. As nutes are broken down a bi product of that process is salts. The extra run off helps to flush out those salts and prevent them from building up in the soil.

You should see more color as the buds mature. It will also probably change some when cured. I just did some Bad Betty that looked purple while growing but turned a brownish purple when cured. I also had some Mi5s that were purple while growing but turned a lot lighter when cured.

hey bandit i thought i would drop by and check out your grow, thanks for the comment on my girls:smokebuds:yours are looking sweet! my last grow was photo blueberry and those girls sipped the water, the auto's i am running now drink twice as much water. i was suprised at that, i guess it's because they grow so fast, that and four gal square pots,

Thanks Muddy!

Thanks astronomy420!

I am very happy with their performance so far.

my auto's sucked down the water too! bandit your doing the right thing by checking the weight and watering as needed, just don't be too quick to water, cannabis likes a wet and a dry period. helps the roots get air too. You seem to have great instinct for growing, i know you'll have years of happy plants to come

When it come to "life" in general I tend to have a natural touch. I have always raised different exotic wildlife and birds, plus I propagate corals and raise deepwater saltwater angelfish. I have an eye for detail and I think that that really helps. :)

Yesterday while sitting outside the girls did some major thickening up. The buds got super dense, and they put on a lot of hairs.

Also while sitting in the garden the girls were exposed to some sort of cutting insect. Twelve of my brother's tomato plants, six squash and a few cucumbers that he had just transplanted were chopped down at the base of the stalk and the leaves were eaten. On my plants a total of 10 leaves were damaged and one totally removed. Whatever did this would chop off individual blades off of each leaf. Very strange eating pattern. Any ideas on what may have done this? Cutting Beetles are the first thing to come to my mind.

Thanks for any help.
