Saludos! :tiphat:

This is the first of some grow reviews I'm gonna do about Stitch's super-autoflowering strains I grew this season outdoors.

I got two SCH seeds as freebies from Dope Seeds, where I bought a pack of Flash Seeds - Chaze. My intention was to grow 3 Chazes and one SCH, put them in line and see how they compare between them.
Sadly or fortunately, one of the Chazes broke and I suddenly I sprouted another SCH for replacement. Later the Chaze developed and I suddenly had another superauto plant to take care of.

All plants were first vegged under 150W 6500K cfls for almost 4 weeks in 3L of soil mix with added mycorhizzae. Conditions were not ideal, very high temperatures of 30-35°C inside, but the plants seemed not to notice:)

SCH@day 19

After 25 days of indoor they got transplanted.

I stuck to the plan and just added the latest SCH near the older one, almost same hole but with some less light exposition.

The difference in indoor time was very noticeable after transplant had occurred. The small SCH was developing slower, had much less vertical growth, got some snails eating her, but a steady growth made out of her a nice healthy plant.

Meanwhile the big SCH stretched like hell and got higher than 2m in the next month.
Here's a picture at day 60, just 35 days after transplant.

This is the SCH a good 2 weeks later, day 76

At day 88 she looked like this

Day 109, getting fat(plant on the right, left is SatiChaze, right front is the small SCH)

The soil mix was pretty high with N and microorganisms, I added some mycorhizzae in the holes, so I only used some liquid bloom nutes, the Plagron AlgaBloom with some aminoacids and vitamins(I used them from the start).

Both SCHs at day 115

And a bud form the big one, same day

In September the weather didn't turn so well as I hoped, had to turn off the watering system because of frequent rains.
The plants were in need of more time so I decided to risk and let them go for another month.

Day 126, plant

And a bud with mostly white stigmas

Came the day I had to chop the SatiChaze(another report to follow soon) and let the others ripe a bit more.

Day 134, big SCH

Small SCH's cola

That day I took a bud off to sample, but it wasn't done yet.

After some days I decided the big one has to go, she had some mold starting, many spiders, ants and other insects decided to find their home in those tasty buds. Can't blame them:)

SCH at chop, day 141

And a nice branch

So the big one got chopped just before october after a september full of rain.
The small seemed to be a bit faster to flower, but she was looking healthy and I let her go for some more time.

She was chopped in first week of october and is now curing in jars with all the others.

Some thoughts about the grow:

It went almost as planned, the superautos need to be transplanted carefully, seems they reveg and delay the flowering when it happens.
To me this is perfect, because it means the longer veg time produces bigger plants, just what I was looking for.

The SCH was my growing "champion" with good heat resistance(temps went up to 38°C for some days). The bud structure allows her to take some rains, won't mold easily, but with bad weather she probably will to some extent.
I think there was an issue with this plant, I noticed the most inner and first calyxes to grow, tend to die later in flowering, which can cause mold issues. I found some just getting moldy while the other calyxes around were perfectly healthy.
In bad weather it's a big minus, but if the weather is dry, there should be no trouble with it.

Verdict:

I really enjoyed to grow this ladies, the SCH is a hardy plant which can reward the grower with a good production of nice sativa buds.
Doesn't need much care and nutes, can cope well with weather and pests and can be a good set-and-forget guerrilla strain(weather permitting).

I will very likely grow this strain again!

Kudos to Stitch for his amazing superauto line:Cushty:

Sch is on my list now!

Thanks for the report, it had all the info I could hope for when hearing about a grow. The weather in my area is very unpredictable, sometimes raining for weeks on end just to end up with temps over 100F for the next couple weeks. Do you think this strain could handle that kind of weather? I usually have to plant quick flowering indicas outside because of this, but I'm a sativa lover at heart so these might work better for me if they could tolerate my environment. Do you think paying sharp attention and grabbing those first calyxes could prevent some of the mold you saw? Also, how is the smoke? I know you said it was a very sativa smoke, but that can mean different things. Some are dreamy and psychedelic, some feel like amphetamines and can cause panic attacks in the unprepared, some are just a good energy and an endless grin. How would you describe the effects of these? I know stitch works with some SE Asian lines which can be pretty intense. Thanks for any info, and thanks again for the report. I think you just sold me on these strains, thankfully I started sizing up plots for an auto-sativa last summer in the hopes I came across a report like this.

Nice 1 Bal, great write up!

I'm very pleased to see such good report about those sch you did this summer outdoor in europe, this mean a lot to me, because so many people didn't understood yet that my SuperAutos made with my Stitch0.1 base must be grown outdoor to reach the best results has sativa autoflower type.
We can easily reach plants over 3 meters tall and over 500 grs dry if they are grown in direct soil or 25 liters containers at least...
I personaly get a 4.15 meters tall plant (Number One) that provided me 1.2 kilos of dry weed.
Thank u BAL to make justice to my strains and really hope to see another 2014 adventure from you.

REP + OBVIOUSLY ;) and ALL MY RESPECT BRO

That's what I love to hear, stitch! Do your super autos like a lighter soil like most photo sativas, or do the like more nutrient density than some? What kind of soil and feeding regimen do you recommend? I've had my eyes on your supers for a while, but they seemed to need the outdoors to shine and I've never needed to plan for a long season sativa outdoors here before. I might need to plan some cover to toss over a plot in case the weather doesn't cooperate, but I might have a good place laid out for next year. Your supers look like a lot of pure sativas and landraces I've seen over the years, and that means I need to try them at some point.

My SuperAutos support very well strong soils in direct ground, as i can tell you that i made some personal tests to add every days nutrients and they did never shown any over nuts problems

Thanks for the info, that's great to hear. It's easier for me to find rich, nutritious soil here then mild, airy soil. Are they N sensitive, or will they pretty much take what you throw at them?
