I skipped the boring seedling stage. We all know how seedlings look and this one looked just the same

Setup

Light:
Vipar 450W/5W LED running 20/4 at the moment. It's getting cold when the lights are out and it will only get worse in the forthcoming months so I'm thinking about running 24/0. I'm 25 days in and I'm not sure if it's a good idea to go from a restperiod to absolutely none. If anyone has any info, please let me know. Temperatures with lights out, gets as low as 16°C and will drop further when it gets colder outside so I really don't have any other option. Actually I started yesterday reducing restperiod by one hour yesterday. From here I will cut 15 minutes a day until I reach 24/0. At least that's the plan I decided to go for, to slowly adjust her. Hope it works out.

I'm new to the Biobizz Fishmix. Either it's pretty hot or my GSC is quite nute sensitive. The fact is I'm having a little N-toxicity and I've not been over 2ml/l. It's not a problem though. Just a few tips here and there with a little claw. Gave water for a couple of days and I'm feeding 1ml/l till sorted. She had the first real watering yesterday. No problems so far and she did in fact show she is a girl today so here are a few random pics with the last one taken a few minutes ago.

Day 27, here comes stretching

Well, I changed my mind. Why would I stress her through several days cutting the rest period instead of just do it. So I did. Seems like she didn't even notice. Temperature is a rock solid 24°C and I believe the soil feels a lot better this way and hopefully my GSC as well. Still a little N-toxic, but new growth looks fine. I saw some little rust spots, so yesterday I fed her 2ml/l CalMag and nothing else. Advanced Nutrients Calmag Xtra has a lot of N in it, so I'm going easy on her at the moment. It seems like Calmag is essential when growing with LED. I'm switching between BioBizz Grow and Fishmix every other feeding along with some AlgAmic. Keeping it down to 1ml/l until I feel it's about time to give her some more. Height is 16cm and she gained 1cm in the last 12 hours. Lets get ready to some explosive growth :headbang:

Day 35, still waiting for stretching

What I thought was the start of stretching was the start of nothing. That's not the true, but she slowed down. For some days I was scared of her not getting much taller. Looked like she didn't know whether to veg or bloom. Leafs started to look bad. Getting lightgreen in spots and not doing much. The calmag didn't seem to help a lot and she should have what she needs otherwise. Yesterday I decided to have a closer look at her. I felt something was wrong. It was. More about that later. I found some funny strange looking leafs.

A leaf growing from a leaf?

Yep, a quite well developed leaf growing from a leaf. I found 2 leaf in leafs.

That was not all she could surprise me with. She even grows extra fingers under the main leaf

She really likes growing leafs it seems. It's been a while since she showed sex. However I wasn't seeing many pistols until a few days ago. That made me think that she maybe was stressed by having light schedule changed and thinking that she maybe returned to in a way of reveg. Many thoughts trying to solve the puzzle of her strange behavior. Outer examination done I went to check the PH. I didn't think that there should be any trouble. Using Biobizz lightmix it should stay in range. Anything that goes in is 6.4-6.5. I don't have a soil tester so I watered her to minimum runoff. Let her stabilize for an hour and watering a littlee again and measured runoff. Boom, there it was. The runoff was 6.85 which means the soil itself is over 7. There was the answer for my trouble. Too high PH locks out certain nutrients and microbes causing her leafs to look off. Not sure if it can cause the mutant leafs, but I guess it could be.
I can't remember if I added garden lime to the soil before grow, but it could very well be. I have had Biobizz Allmix turn acidic on me and another soil I have has a PH of 6 and needs some added. I guess I added lime and too much. Gave her 3L extra with nutrients as a miniflush hoping to bring down the PH a bit. I feel it worked and now I need to find out how to bring it down and keeping it down. No matter what she looks a lot better today raising her leafs for light and look happier overall. Here is a picture from last night and she measured 24 cm.

24 hours later she has gained 3cm and is now 27cm. Now I can truly say: Here comes the stretch
I think she is back on track and will hopefully let all those bud sites stretch for some light. Show me what You got baby

looks like shes sorted herself out and shes ready to start baking cookies!

Day 44, I can hardly keep up

7 days and 17cm gained. She now reaches 49cm and has slowed down a little the last couple of days. An estimate will be that she finishes around 60-70cm. I also believe she will hit the 80-90 days before she is done. She still has a long way, but she could surprise me.

I'm really surprised of the speed of water intake and she has sucked herself completely dry a couple of times. I was having some PH trouble and I really don't know where I'm at this moment. I haven't measured it lately. I have tried to combat the high PH by feeding her really low PH'ed nutrients. The soil was a bit over 7 so gave her all her feedings at 5.3 for 5 days. The last 2 days at the normal 6,5. I will measure the PH in a couple of days but she looks ok. Growing nicely, but some leafs are suffering. I have faith in her and the soil to be ok now. I will find out.

I have just upped her feeding and I think I should have done so before, but the PH also played tricks at me. In a week she will be perfect. I hope :)

Her feed per L is:

2ml Fishmix
2ml Grow
3ml Bloom
3ml AlgaMic
1ml CalMag

Enough of the talking. Here are some pics:

It sure does. I once worked in a bakery. The smell of fresh cookies, mostly bread, but lets just say cookies. It's a better match. She has a slight smell of cookies. Funny. Cookies are relatively unknown around here. Never heard of them myself. Now they are cooking in the closet. Looking forward to see what it's all about with those cookies.

She sure is. Her leafs are really reaching for the light. She has stopped vertical growth but is spreading out like a monster despite her leafs are ugly as hell. Growing nice flowers and lots of trichs already, so not a big problem.
I will try to measure the PH later tonight, because something really isn't right. I think it's still way off and I must admit it bothers me a little to look at those leafs, but the flowers are looking great. I will update tomorrow at a time with results and some fresh pictures.
