Bad Water, any ideas?

So what did you ever find out about the well water?. I fed all of my plants chlorine, chloromine, RO, you name it. It seems more like its soil dependent and canna specific plants in general. I have a toof girl in recycled soil, always soaked with chlorinated water, heavy nutes and she is beautiful. No issues. Then my sodk, same setup, is almost all yellowed on the fan leaves:eek1:. Lol, then I Have another sodk in Dwc hydro, I just give it heavy nutes, check ph at 5.8 and only change the res once since I had it going, 43 days old. I do have a large UV pond inline filter do it helps keep Pythium and other fungus down. And it's going to be just a monster!!! All in chlorinated nasty hard water, 450ppm right out of the tap.

I'm curious why your well is killing your girls. One thing, how is the nitrate and nitrite levels?.. Sometimes they are high from the well and are within the limits set by the authorities. Also, iron leaching is a problem into well water also. Turns your pool water a bit green!!!..

tests showed the water to be well within accepted limits for humans. I suspect iron a a possibility. It started when I was doing DWC. Same things happened in organic soil. for the longest time, I thought I was having ph issues, and it was definitely nute lock out. But it took going back to hydro to prove it was the water, which till then I never suspected. Why? it is only my cannabis it damages! not strain specific either, its killed 20 strains.......lol! I thought i was doing something wrong with my organics even. Now, I've got my best ever organic grow going, and using RO and purchased filtered water works great. I'm getting a good filter system and will see if thats enough to make my water usable. I dislike the waste created by RO systems.

I always use Poland spring water it always test 6.1 ph and is $1.50 at Walmart for a gallon

I have family that are farmers and the bore water has a high salt content being so far down, also like previous posts have said we do use alot of sprays etc for the crops...so yeh there is a chance over time that it could seep into the water table....high salt in water would kill and yes definitely cause a lock out...just boil it first, then your right to go.

considering I use 20+ gallons a week, that's not an option for me.

For the long run, you would be better off buying a distiller.

So I'm thinkin we're safe w/ tap that has only 60 ppm but does use chloramine. Been adding the recommended 50mg/gallon vitamin C ascorbic acid. Only in week 2 of first grow so guess we'll find out. But now I'm more hopeful.

edit: as it's only good a day or 2, decided to order this for the hose
