Hi There people,
Anyone grown autos under a 54w 5000k cob from start to finish?
If so how did it turn out?

Take a look at this chart:

It should work with decent yield. I would expect the plants to grow bigger, but yield less per volume. The taste could be good because you have a lot of blue during end of flower. So as always use training and trimming to increase yield. You will however need 2 of those if you really want to grow one big plant.

Cheers Wico,
I've just received a 3500k cob to work in unison with my 5000k one. As you say that should bring on 1 plant nicely or possibly 2 plants pushed up together under both lights I'm hoping??

With 2 COBs on full power I would stick to one big plant and would try to get 200 gram (auto 24/0) from it...

That would be less than 1 gpw (and terrible) I got 1.67 gpw from my first LED grow using LST and FIM. So get that 200 gram or die tryin'!

You bought Optic 1s?

Efficiency matters more than color. 5000k will produce tighter nodes while the 3500k adds more red, a more efficient color, that adds weight/density.

Are they autocobs?

They're Optic 1s 54w
They claim the 5000k is good for auto flowering so I went with that, it's only looking about on these sites that nearly everyone who grows with cobs uses 3500k. I have LST my royal gorrila glue auto, I stressed her a few times in the early stages so that's probably why she's a little stunter.. 6 wks old and only 12 inches, bushy as hell though, she pre flowered at 4 weeks but development budwise has been a bit slow.

Also can I just hang the 2 cobs next to each other or say leave them 3 to 6 inches apart and I have the 1 cob hanging above the canopy at 18 inches. With 2 cobs do I need to increase the height?
