Autos Haven’t Switched to Flower?

Hey guys, I’ve got a couple autos growing in XL solo cups (32oz), started in Jiffy Peat Pellets and growing in OF. 6.5 weeks above soil, and very healthy, but still not showing any signs of flowering! Have confirmed both are female. Have very minor insect damage - spent their first few weeks sprouting in the garage and picked up a bug. I’ve never experienced this long of a delay - all my other autos have flowered in 3-4 weeks. Any advice or anecdotes about this?

Have you tried a 12/12 cycle? Also, consider red leds to initiate cycle.

I've had very bad results from autos that don't flower until 50-60 days. They've ended up being 120+ days and end up being huge plants of just loose crappy buds. Frosty, but not worth the effort unless you have the time and space to hash them out when they're done. I'd toss em if you need them to be autos or go to 12/12 like @CannabisMingus said and give em 2 weeks and hope they're actually photos. They look healthy though so I'd hate to cull them

That was the next step, in like, 3 minutes of googling this issue I found that suggestion a few times. Might just give it a go - pop them in the dark for a day or two then switch them to 12/12.

I wouldn't put them in the dark at all, just switch what time the light turns off

man, 120+ is a loooooong ride, lol. I’m not pressed for time or anything, I really just like growing them and figuring them out. And you know. Benefits. :smoking:

Ha, unlike me to leave out that info.

I’ve got a Zkittles and a Amnesia Lemon that were included as freebies in an order from Herbie’s. I’ve asked them about this before and they don’t ID the “bank” these seeds come from. They are ID’d as “autos” when they’re included in your order.

As an interesting aside, this is the first time I’ve grown two side by side that show obvious signs of different parentage - you can easily tell one is more Sativa-dominant, and the other leans to Indica traits!

Probably mislabeled or crap genetics from bulk seeds that are prone to be crap .. good luck hopefully 12/12 starts the flower going for you
