Indoor Autoflower Virgin - Lets change that!

LOL @Archaic - it surprised me too that a name as I selected was available. I didn't even have to make a huge payoff to the directors of AFN.....they may have realized I was a decent guy after all. Yeah right...LOL.

I have grown photo plants outdoors for some years now where space is not a big consideration for tall plants. I started growing indoors a couple of years ago realizing plant size was going to be a limiting factor in my 2x2 (5'7"), so I bought a Gorilla 2x4 with a 6'9" height. STILL, after lights are hung and fans with filters are in place, it seems you never quite have enough room for some of the taller photo strains. This led me into the loving arms of Auto plants, and so far - so good.

I discovered that an auto strain (when properly LST'd) will fill my 2x2 tent wall to wall, but there is still ample room for her to stretch taller after horizontal training and still allow room to grow. Long story short, I am thoroughly enjoying auto growing and the support I'm getting from AFN.

This is the NL pictured above a couple of weeks ago showing my horizontal training pattern.

All is looking good my friend, and thanks for the shout out!

Thanks @wetwood ! The above pic showing LST was a couple of weeks ago, and this pic was taken yesterday. She is stretching nicely and stacking buds heavy heavy mon....almost 7 weeks old now. I took her out of the tent this afternoon and removed a good amount of foliage off the top canopy to allow light in since she was getting a bit bushy and shady.

The other solo cups are Blue Dream and White Widow photo seedlings just emerging to go outside soon.

Thanks for the nice post!

In my post [HASHTAG]#13[/HASHTAG] above, I mentioned I did a trimming to keep her canopy open. I also try to keep her bottom canopy open and run tent pole fans top and bottom to prevent moisture related issues from forming.

This is a pic I took after removing foliage - compare to the pic above. I like to take small amounts of foliage at a time, and do this more often to prevent shock to the plant while she is stacking buds. She is stretching big time now, so trimming is a few leaves a day to keep caught up. She is 7 weeks today, and based on her trichome development, I'll say 12 weeks will be about my harvest point. I like to cut and dry when she is all cloudy with just a few amber trichs - maybe 20% amber at the most. I don't prefer to let her get too amber for my tastes.
