Hello organic friends! I've mixed up a new batch of super soil at half strength to see how autos do with it. Hopefully it's not too strong, but to find out is the point of this experiment. My base soil consists of Roots Organics, earthworm castings, perlite, lime, diatamaceous earth, and crushed mosquito dunks as infestation preventative. Add to that azomite, humid acid, blood meal, bone meal, bat guano, pot ash, and epsom salt to create the super soil. I've taken 5 gallon buckets and placed two gallons of super in the bottoms, then another two gallons of base soil on top of that. Hopefully this base will be enough for the ladies to establish themselves before growing into the hotter soil. I've got twelve 5 gallon buckets set up in the same fashion. Six have Mephisto seeds in them and can be viewed here:

The other six will be updated here. They are:
Dutch Passion- Auto Ultimate
Dutch Passion- Auto White Widow
Humboldt Seed Organization- Blue Dream Auto (Wild Thailand Ryder pulled after hearing of WoS herm issues)
Emerald Triangle Seeds- Headlights Kush Auto
Delicious Seeds- Sugar Black Rose Auto
Sweet Seeds- Cream Mandarine
After a 12 hour soak and 18 hours in wet paper towels all had taproots going strong. I had some mycos on hand but have never used it for seeds before. I put a dash of it in each Root Riot plug before placing the germinated seed in. I'm not sure if that's how I should have used it or not. I then tore a corner off each Root Riot and placed it on top of the seed for added resistance, like a seedling pushing through top soil. After that I put them all in their properly labeled buckets and now it's just a matter of time before they break ground.
A sample size of 12 different autos being fed only water should give a pretty good indication of how well or poorly the soil performs overall, and how it could be improved upon in the future. Thanks for stopping in and as usual love, luck, and good vibes are always welcome!
*Edit- If a mod sees this could he or she please change the title to "Autoflower Super Soil Test"? Thanks!
