Hello everyone!

As the title indicates (and I'm sorry if this isn't the proper section), my autoflower is not entering its pre-flowering stage despite being 35 days old (I might also add it's only 8cm tall and has a few sets of small leaves). Nearly every autflower should start flowering after ONLY two weeks. I don't get what I'm doing wrong. I'm growing outdoors in a natural ~15/9 light cycle (this is my only option). I've noticed that something is starting to grow on the stalk (stipules, but I doubt they are pistles).

What do you guys think? Is this normal? I'll post some pictures so you can see what I'm seeing, sorry for the quality.

Thanks for your replies and have a great day. :D

I'm new to autos as well but they dont always start flowering after 2 weeks. I sprouted 5 within days of each other 4 are nearing the end and 1 is just starting to fill in. Its like 20 days behind so just be patient maybe throw a cfl over it

Hey man, welcome to afn! Are you certain you are at 35 days? If you could give more info it would help. Ph, feeding schedule ect. If it is at 35 days it is severly stunted but everything ive ever stunted had twisted leaves and def showing up in leaves from ph probs. It looks underfed but not by much.

Not sure what kind of soil you got there, but I don't see very much, (if any), perlite. Unless your growing in coco, you could have a soil compaction problem and as old as the plant is, I don't see how you could remedy this without stunting it further. Now I'm not sure that is the problem, just an observation ... Peace!

I'm growing in soil I bought from the local garden shop, it has some nutrients added. Only yesterday did I for the first time add nutrients for the vegetative growth... maybe it's because of that? The poor baby didn't have enough food so it wasn't growing properly? The light could be a problem as well, as in I'm in centrel Europe and it's just starting to get warmer here after the winter, maybe the suns rays are not strong enough (despite the plant getting about 15h every day of light). The pH of the soil is about 6,8 which is good I think. I water it twice a week also (I check the soil if it's dry)

About the perlite, yesterday I went and bought some then added it to the soil, I hope that will help my plant recover...

Do you guys have any suggestions as to what I should do now? Do you think the plant and the yields will be affected by this? Is there any way my baby will get "back on track"?

If I haven't given enough information do tell and I'll try to fill in all the details. :D

Thanks guys, peace out.

Those are 35 days?
I think you have a soil issue and more.
Here's mine at about 35 days. 50/50 mix of Ocean Forest and Happy Frog soil. Grow More nutes.

Farseer,

If they are truly auto flowering plants and they are at day 35 then we really need to take a look at the problem. Going by the pictures you posted it is severely stunted. Your plant looks like it is 10 days old. How did you add perlite to the soil at this point? There really would be no way to do so without again stunting the root system. If all you did was kind of mixed some in around the top that really is not going to help at all.

An auto flowering plant has a very limited life span. With a photoperiod plant you could veg her for months if you wanted(within reason). With an auto flowering plant as soon as she cracks she seed she is running on borrowed time and it's a race to the death. As I am sure you know many auto grows are wrapping up by 70 days. You are already half way to that point.

We need to look at the known variables...what is the temps where it is at? We know how much light it's getting but is this direct light and not shaded? The soil may not be the best but it should be ok and got you further than this. Being so late in the game with this one even if you manage to her her turned around I just don't know if she would be worth the time at this point

Do you have any more seeds?

Hi Farseer - I've moved your thread to new growers forums. It will get more views and help there. Infirmary is more for deficiencies and sick plants.

The good news is ... it's a cannabis plant. :) But i think you'll need a bit of help getting to harvest!

You'll be hit with a load of questions like what soil type and what are the temps, how much light - It's all good, we're a friendlt bunch that would like to help you make your own medicine! :)

Just an early bump in the road :)

Happy growing, I'm sure it'll pick up soon!

Blue ^_^
