Mooi anglaisie, I'm a home breeder. I get most of my genetics from seed banks and others but I do crosses that I want to try myself using genetics that I pick from my own head. I think I help mother nature and I do at least some good for the gene pool. I know others may not agree. I want to say this. It is my money that I paid for the seed I bought. It is my money that I bought the equipment with and it is my money that pays the power bill. You know I think I will do whatever I want. I grow several Auto Hazes probably none that you had any hand in. This year I am going to cross Super Cali Haze with AA and RRF just for the fun of it.

i meen my genetics are for sail here on the E-schop and now there will be breeders /seedbanks that buy them and make seeds for them zelf and sell as there own auto Haze work this is how seedbanks work for most of the time!
like Wizs genetics where stolen too some time ago
with me it happend also some time ago but that where only some leser auto haze crosses
sorry my english is bad .
peace

Nelson ofcorse you have the right .
but buying a strain and just make more seeds from of it and sell them as you own hard work no that not oke in my book!
and afther some generation crossing and stable your own strain than i think you can call it you own work
not just cross one strain with a other one .
no in f3 its your but thats mine ideer before that you need too give credits too the breeders for those strains.
sorry for my bad english hoop you understand what i thry too sey

Have you Thought of a Name for it yet...?...

Most breeders who sell their seeds to seed companies never release their genetics. They steal from each other freely and market the product as original. Such a farce I agree.

Real breeding is the grower who can notice something special about a certain plant growing outside. Clone off of it and then take that clone and breed it to something else they think is special or maybe take ten clones and breed them to 10 differnt males that they previosly crossed and liked.

I admit I know nothing about breeding other than the fact I do it. I have had one great success and it was totally by accident. I really liked Jack Herer and kept noticing that it had an unfortunate trait - it hermied much too easily. I was also growing Bob Marley and it never hermied. I thought by breeding them together maybe I would get a better Jack. Well I got a plant that was very close to the Jack and never hermied. The plant only has the one pheno. The big bonus was that I got a wicked early plant that finishes as quickly as the super autos. I have been growing this plant I know call BeeJay cause it is a much shorter word but gives credit to the origins. I trade seeds locally and it is the most wanted seeds that I make. My BeeJay finishes earlier than Super Cali Haze. It is disease resistant. Every plant grows the same height and looks the same. It is easy to clone and is a very similar smoke and flavour. It is very similar to the exotic side of Northern Lights. This alone has given me a feeling of accomplishment even though it was just good luck.

I agree theres a difference in crossing/hacking 2 strains that takes 5 mins and saying its yours is wrong (which any monkey can do)
but breeding doing inline breeding and back crossing and working on stability and phenos takes years then IMO you own it and should be compensated for your work just like regular cultivars at the garden centre and not be licience for a seed company to stick there name on it and charge loads of money for it when they have put 0 effort into it

you have a good plant does not mean the seeds from it will be anything like its parent this is when the skill comes in to be honest breeding indica into a sat helps stops the hermie trait

I agree with all this. I am in a local breeders club and we are all home breeders not members of a seed company and I think everyone of us to do home breeding do put in the effort to grow our seeds and check for phenos, hermes, disease problems, bud rot and breedability. I wonder if the seed companies do the same?

Most of the autos I use the seeds from have different phenos up the wazoo. I hatch about 60 seeds a month for my indoor auto sog tank. I see phenos like on the Mi5 that has 4 distinct types. I couldn't breed the phenos out. I ended up having to cross it to Snowryder and taking it to F4 just to get the phenos down. I wanted the single colon type not the bushy branchy shit. Or the thin tall one or the short little one. My cross is now at the point that I have 80% pf the single colon types. I continue up the F chain trying to improve the pheno production by breeding the most desirable female. I still have a hard time picking the males.

We monkees try our best and I am not sure the seeds for money experts even bother to try as hard.

sounds good mate sounds like a large version of lowberry well at least the pic anyway
onyx seems to have some of those phenos as well you could try changing the male as he might be a bush male

Nelson..agito..LBH means Big Seed Companies...
Both him and me have been ripped of our genetics by them while we were @ ICmag.

With LBH's Haze on sale here in regular seeds..one of the big companies will by them and IBL them..and call them their own.
So..
in 14-18 weeks..one of the seed banks will suddenly start selling Auto Haze..

Happens all the time...

The Better the girls..the faster it is Ripped.....

My JEM has been Ripped..and I have no doubt the PAK..Bad Betty and ALF#3 will be shortly..

We have a sweep-stake running in Mods to see which seed bank will Rip them First...

Gotta Think though...If a seed-bank is disreputable enough to Rip a Breeder..
I wouldn't like to give them My Addy and credit card numbers to buy a pack off them..:wiz:

---------- Post added 10-09-2011 at 04:43 PM ----------

I wonder if the seed companies do the same?

I Always thought they did...but..

when we suddenly started seeing those Non-Auto Autos coming out from around 3 different seed banks...
I realised I was Probably Wrong...

coz IF they had been Testing...Properly...that Fault should Never have hit the Markets.....that was Bad Business...

lol true enough but did some one not get a kickback on yours wiz and is there any advice on avoiding your genetics getting ripped like not shipping to holland?
pm me if need be i just dont fancy going into 2 years of this to have it happen to me

sorry if its off topic
