Dutch Passion AutoBlueberry/AutoGlueberry O.G in Airpots under 200w LED

First of all, your plants look great. One thing I would consider is to increase the quantity of feed. Not the nutes, the actual volume of water. 500ml isn't very much, especially if you are feeding daily. Imo, giving such small amounts is keeping your root ball from expanding. Try giving at least a liter, then maybe 2 liters. The bigger your roots, the bigger your plant

you growing in 15L pots im sure they could take a bigger watering.as Yeatster says the 500ml may not be enough to get all parts of the soil wet throughout the pot.
good luck.

Thanks for agreeing Archie. This is actually the biggest hurdle I've had as a new grower. When to water is stressful enough. But...how much to water is just as important, maybe more. I would love for someone to chime in and set me straight, if I'm wrong.

We all know our fruits can only get as big as our roots allow. "Bigger the roots, bigger the fruits". So, we need to concentrate on roots. All of us new guys look at what's happening above the soil. "Oh man, my plant ain't growing brah, what's wrong?"

My understanding, as a new grower myself...your roots have 2 stages of development. The first stage is the first 3 weeks. In the first 2 weeks we stare at the seedling, waiting for it to grow. Wondering why it hasn't grown more....roots brah. By the 3rd week we notice a considerable growth...yay! She's growing.
Then there is another root growth spurt. This happens in the first week(s) of flower. This is when we need to give our plants enough water to go beyond the root mass that has already been established. We want the roots to grow grow grow. Without that, we are left with stunted plants. Saturate the pot at this point. If you don't, your roots won't search the bottom. You want your roots to search for water.

ive come a long way as a grower in the 3 years at AFN.im still shit at it and can be a complete eejit at times.grow 1 underwaterd grow 2 overwatered grow 3 overfed grow 4 underfed.
when to water ? finger method/probe method/lift pot method/look of plant method/just knows when, the green thumb method.......combo of all ?
how much to water ?...............................................................i wish someone would have told me......i wish i could pass it on but i cant, its just something we have to work out for ourselves.
far to many variables in everyones garden for there to be a one size fits all.
i still get it wrong to many times.sorry for the vagueness of reply.
maybe thats why the fancy orchid growers use clear sided pots ?
good luck.

Once a plant has three or four nodes, every water should be to run off. They shouldn't drink it back up and it should go in slowish. If you have several plants give them all a third, then come around and do it again, and so on. Soil growers will want to break up the surface if it gets hard or develops channels.

Well put ! Actually i think its the best explanation of the root growth ive heard.

@Yeatster Thanks for taking the time to write such a clear explanation bro, constantly learning.

A few rogue looking leaves on my Blueberry gave me the push to finally order a pH meter and soil probe. Have started a thread in the infirmary for her if you fancy a look https://www.autoflower.org/threads/autoblueberry-day-38-yellow-brown-fan-leaves.58180/page-2 Not too concerned for her at the moment but after my experience with my cookies I can't help but be over cautious!

I gave both girls a good soaking on Monday and collected run off from the Blueberry pH is 6.88.

Yo!

Sorry for the absence, have been on a absolute shit run with luck lately! Went to Barcelona early march for a few nights and a friend looked after my plants. In the first week of being home my washing machine, boiler, oven, camera (hence the shit phone pics) all decided to pack up. No fucking shit, you couldn't write it! After my laptop packed up over Xmas! You just gotta grit your teeth and power through though! So I am back!

Since my last post there has been two additions to the tent, 2XAutoBlackberry Kush. Think I started feeding them both too much too early, neither are looking too healthy. From what I’ve been reading looks like nitrogen toxicity? Heres whats been going on in the tent.

AutoBlueberry Day 70

Have been feeding her Sensi Bloom A+B @ 2ml per L/Carboload @ 1ml per L/Overdrive @ 2ml per L and Calmag @ 1ml per L. I ordered AN Hammerhead for her to combat the Pdef, but it was out of stock with supplier and they never let me know, still charged me though! Told them they could keep it once in stock, I just can’t afford it at the moment. Here she is anyway:

AutoGlueberry O.G Day 59

Everything seems to be going ok with her, the tallest plant I have grown so far by a mile. Cannot give an explanation, I haven’t done anything different, must be genetics! Feed is pretty much the same as the Blueberry:- Sensi Bloom A+B @ 2ml per L/Carboload @ 2ml per L/Overdrive @ 2ml per L and Calmag @ 1ml per L.
