I always liked Blueberry, even if it is a strain which demands a little extra care. Is this the Case with the Autoblueberry as well?

Whats the DP soil mix to bring out the best flavour?

Which PH should i try to achieve?

Will you by any chance sell regular Autoflowering seeds? Maybe in a Limited Breeders Edtion of sort?

ah and by the way: Happy 25th year! Keep up the good work!

Hello potsnob. If you like Blueberry you will like AutoBlueberry too. It is the same original Blueberry genetics so you get a good high, good flavours and aroma's. It is one of those really satisfying varieties. So far we haven't seen it reaching the extreme yields of AutoMazar, but AutoBlueberry has proved popular with many of the old school tokers who enjoy the lavish smells and taste.

In terms of soil mix, make sure it is light and airy. Just like other varieties of marijuana it is important to get a decent soil mix to get teh best out of it. Many of the flavours in AutoBlueberry are genetically built in, you get them in hydro grow or soil grows. So I would just concentrate on getting a good compost and get perlite in there too. These days lots of growers get coco fibre (coir) and add it to soil to improve it. If you are growing in soil pH may not be a particular concern, especially if you have got some decent quality bagged compost from your garden centre. Perhaps mix in some blood, fish and bone meal.

As for how easy is it? Much of the feedback we get is that AutoFem's in general are easier and more convenient than traditional photoperiod strains and I am sure that is a big reason for their success. You only need look after the plant for 70 days and if it is in a good size container (or rooted in the ground) then you won't need to worry too much about what could go wrong. Of course the more skill you can put into the grow the better the results you will get. But if you are new to Auto's then the good news is that they are pretty forgiving. Many outdoor growers start them off indoors, plants them in a prepared composted plot and don't need to do much other than harvest them later. Nice and easy really.

Will we sell AutoReg's?. Well we would 'never say never'. But since we introduced feminized seed in the 90's we have seen regular seed sales decrease to less than 5% of our sales. So we would need to give it some serious thought as we just don't see the many people wanting the regular seeds. Let us think about that, it is quite a lot of extra work and planning we would need to do for a relatively small level of interest. But I understand and respct the question and logic behind it.

Thanks for the quick response Tony.

I will try some Autoblueberry in my next Outdoor-Grow.:toke:

As for the AutoRegs... In my humble opinion if you could achieve a powerfull/flavourfull truebreeding variety I think it it would not only sell well but could as well become something like the skunk#1 of the autoflowering world!

If there are news on that front please let me know!

I've been looking at growing some Blueberry also. About the only breeder I've found currently offering regular Blueberry seeds is Lowlife.

Yeah I'm with potsnob on the autoreg! I believe it would very well be worthwhile for DP to put some energy into producing a true breeding autostrain and sell it in regular seed packs. There's no panic though, others do already offer it, however with the skill and experience of DP it could really become something special. In general fems are more convenient, but I really like the idea of being able to breed your own strains - in other words having your own unique buds that no one else has! And for us far up north autos are the only reliable option if you want to go outdoors ... So please consider this!

I recently finished a grow with DP auto blueberry and found it very easy to grow . Not demanding at all I grew in a 2 gallon pot with fox farms ocean Forrest and fox farms nutrient trio . Under a 400 watt hps I didn't feed till about 3 or 4 weeks and my ph was at 6.8 6.9 . She wasn't a heavy eater but was as finicky as I have read photo blueberries can be . I let mine go to almost 80 days and it's amazing smoke hope this helps

I bought 10 regular Lowlife Auto Blueberry seeds and 3 Dutch Passion Auto Fem Blueberry seeds from The Attitude. My plan was to pollenate a branch of the DP with some pollen from a Lowlife male. The good news is the one Dutch Passion seed that I planted 6 days ago was out of the soil after 3 days and is looking nice and healthy, kudos for your healthy seeds! The Lowlife seeds were sadly a disappointment. I had one sprount and die and have 9 empty cups after 6 days. There are all in 32 oz cups of Pro Mix BX. I mave have over-watered them by adding about a third cup of water to each one.

Looking forward to growing out what I got.

I hear all the comments about auto regs and have discussed them with our team. Lets see what can be done. we never say never lol

But just as a point of comparison we offer a third of our traditional photoperiod strains in regular non-fem seeds yet the regular seeds accounts for only 3% of our sales. Thats the reason we thought that Autoflowering varieties would only be wanted as feminized varieties.

Well Tony, I don't think the situation is analogous. Photoperiod strains can be cloned, autos can't. That's the reason why regular auto seeds might have a much greater commercial value than non-fem photos. People like to make their own seeds to compensate for the rather high price for a seed that doesn't have the same yield potential as a photo strain. Great that you guys are discussing the matter!
