Auto x Photo questions on breeding.

Also would this work?
F2 photo x F2 photo = F3 100% photo? Or would only the F1 and F2 photo Be useable for photos and clone only? If so , that means no way of getting 100% photo seeds?
F2 Auto x F2 Auto = F3 100% auto and all future seeds are auto
Thanks
Always be careful pollen chucking unless you collected the pollen yourself off the male otherwise you'll never know how good the male was , much love

super interesting read here guys! gave me a bunch of info i have been looking for on "fast flowering" varieties.

I wanted to ask. if the goal is to make fast flowering variety. you cross an auto and a photo together.

then from you'r f1's all will be photoperiod. from here I would want to grow a bunch of these out, and just pheno hunt for the one i like best? or is there more too I i can do from here to further refine it down to make an even better, faster flowering plant?

plz help me understand :)

Correct.. The f1 hybrid will be photo period plants. The f2's will be 25% auto 25% fast flowering photo period and about 50% standard photo period. The f3's will be about 50% auto, 25% pp and 25% ff.. So to find a solid fast flowering photo period the best bet would be in the f2 stock. Once you find one you like you can clone it and keep it around. If you cross it back to a regular pp plant, you will lose the fast flowering trait. Ideally, you'd want to find 3-4 ff plants from the f2 stock and cross those together.. Then hunt the f3 stock for the traits you are looking for... Then try to stabilize the traits in f4-f5.

amazing reply my man! thank you!

A follow up question. I'm going to be collecting and saving pollen from these, Will a particular F(x) version of pollen be best for keeping, for the future crossing? or will i reverse each time and get new pollen because it's kind of like taking a step back to use a previous runs pollen?

just trying to visualize the road ahead. :D
