My auto's just started pre flowering a day ago...the little hairs/pistils are coming out. By this, I assume that the plant will not be growing anything more from the top except the main cola? No more new leaf growth? My main question is..if this was a regular seed..then would the plant just keep growing new leaves from the top as long as I keep the 18/6 light schedule? Or do regulars also hit a 'top' and wont grow newer leaves and just start to shoot out pistils?

I can't really comment on photos; I haven't tried them since the 80s. However, your autos have quite a bit of growing still to go after the preflowering starts. And by "quite a bit" I mean more than they've done so far.

If they just showed preflower you defiantly will see more growth yet.

I know they continue to grow, likely slightly more than double what they are now..i was just wondering about the top of the plant..i know the future cola will be there and growing from that spot, and had this been a 'regular' seed, would that have still happened with 18/6 schedule or would the plant have continued to grow new leaves out the top and not show any pre flowers till switched to 12/12? Or does a regular seed even have a main cola in the middle like an auto?

Yes no pistole til12/12 on photo.....will keep vegging.....thats what autos do...there own thing

Thank you! I plan on growing reg's after this and the next grow is done..they seem more 'fun':) Can someone also tell me when is the best to switch from vegging lights (6500K), to flowering (2700k)? I will still keep 2 or 3 6500's during flowering with the 9-12 2700's. Just wondering when is it time to switch the bulbs?

I would switch them after they quit stretching, and start putting on weight.
Thx! I tried searching google, but its not an easy search:) You think it matters if I slowly swap the lights over a couple days, or just abruptly change all from one day to the next? I don't know if that shocks the plant.
