Auto not flowering

hey guys just bumping out this thread again so i can get some help... as i said in the start of the title my auto flowered but just a few pistils on the nodes while i was on the 18/6 light schedule i also read here https://www.royalqueenseeds.com/blo...ower-n479#when-do-autoflowers-start-flowering it says First of all, you should wait a little longer. Oftentimes these plants just need a little time to catch up and eventually get the message. If your plants are still showing no sign of flowering after an additional three weeks, you’ll need to take other measures. Reducing the life cycle to 12/12 usually provides enough of a stimulus to force these stubborn specimens into the flowering phase. wich means if i started from week 5 of first flowers i should wait another 3 weeks that means i should switch from 18/6 to 12/12 in the 8th week if my auto doesnt seem to kick in buds my question is should i wait for about week 8 to kick in and then make the change or should i change it from now? i tried to change it before as my dude told me on previous comments but didnt see any flowers kicking in the top of the main colas just a few pistils here and there on the nodes where branches connect just wanna find a standard light schedule so i dont stress her anymore as this could hurt my yields and i know that need an expierienced guy to guide me through my next step

12/12 is your only choice other than nothing. Yeild is more dependent on several other factors...and more lighting doesn't make up for other problems. If 12/12 stresses .....then that shit still gets me high as I need.

I kinda have to agree. Gotta consider these are all hybrids nowadays only thing ruderalis in good autos is the auto gene. You would flower a photo on 12/12 and photos tend to yield more mostly based on the ability to veg it longer and make bigger plants. I have also heard of and seen on site people do really good with autos on here at 12/12 as well. I also can't remember who said it but I found it to be interesting "just because an auto an handle more hours of light doesn't mean it needs it" also someone said something to the effect that they got maybe less by a little with 18/6 over 20/4 or 24/0 but the quality was much better.

I'll gladly claim some of those remarks. I don't get into much of the technical stuff, but I veg everything 3 weeks, autos and photos, then rotate into 12/12 til finish. After 15 yrs of trying all the weird shit, I've found I get plenty meds doin' it the way I do it ; Grow for quality, yeild will follow.

I really like the last line. Very wise, I'll be preaching that message myself as its an excellent approach.
