I thought I would start a journal of my current grow, namely 4 Sweet Seeds Auto Green Poison and 5 Dinafem Original Auto Amnesia (sorry Tommy & Jay - its my girlfriends favourite!).

Bit of background - I´ve been growing autos for a few years now, and usually have something from Sweet Seeds in the tent (I´ve done pretty much the whole range now apart from the new releases) and I never get let down. I have yet to have a Sweet Seed fail to germinate, and I love the colours and flavors that I get!

My set up:
1mx1mx2m tent
600W Dual Spectrum HPS in an Xtrasun 6 air cooled hood
6" extractor and Filtrokoa carbon Filter
11 Litre Pots
Biobizz light soil with 30% extra perlite added
Advanced Nutrients pH Perfect Grow, Micro & Bloom nutes with Voodoo Juice, B52, Cal Mag, Bio Silicon, Big Bud, Overdrive and molasses, plus Plant Magic Evolution foliar spray (this stuff kicks ass!)
24/0 lighting for the first 14 days then dropped to 18/6 until harvest.

Currently on day 30. Flowering is really starting to take off (all plants lifted up their skirts and showed me their bits between day 19 and 23) and I will be adding Big Bud into the nutrient mix this week.

Here are some progress pics from the last 30 days:

I germinate straight into final pots. No pre soaking or paper towels. Works 100% of the time for me!

Pre-soaking the pots before I germ means there is plenty of moisture for the seedlings to find and I don´t need to water for the first 7-10 days

Plant Magic Evolution Spray is all they get for the first couple of weeks. If you can, try it. I am loving how healthy they look and how much new growth it stimulates

Some of the Amnesia´s have been tied down as they were stretchy and growing much quicker than the rest - I want my canopy more even!

Taken this morning, things are getting crowded in here. Expecting very fast vertical growth in the next week!

Hey mate, thanks for dropping in! Had a look at your Red Poison - nice work bro!
As for my favourites from Sweet Seeds, hands down its Cream Caramel - lovely to grow and smoke, good yields and gorgeous colours. Also got a soft spot for Dark Devil, and if we go purely on smoke, Fastbud#2 is hard to beat!

Hey great strains, I finished a cream Mandarine a few weeks back and a cream caramel a few more months from that. Still have some Cream Mandarin and Blackjack auto beans on hand and some Green Poison Fast version beans ready for the outdoors. Great Genetics gifted to me from the super cool Tommy from the sweet seeds forums. Cant wait to see yours in full bloom so I know what I got coming to me....K.I.M.

Hey K.I.M thanks for visiting! I´ll keep the diary updated mate -its gonna get stinky and sticky soon (I hope!)

Morning all. Quick snap of the girls this morning:

They had a feed last night of 1ml/litre Grow, Micro & Bloom plus 2ml/l voodoo juice, a splash of cal mag, a sprinkle of silicon and 2ml/l Big Bud. They seemed to take the nute dose just fine (as I would expect at that level) so its up to half strength next feed.

When I opened the tent this morning I got a real waft of smell - I love this stage of rapid growth and odor development. Does anyone have any thoughts on defoliation? I usually only take off dead leaves and tuck everything else. Also I was thinking about snipping off some of the lower bud sites that aren´t gonna develop much, but I haven´t done this before so am a bit nervous about stunting them during the stretch.

I have grown this way for multiple harvests and always do ok, so taking any growth off is new territory for me - all input gratefully received!

I´m not sure how much interest there is in this diary, but I´m gonna keep posting regardless as it will be useful for me (I´m terrible at record keeping!). I´ll post an update later - lights are off right now, but I have a plan for my next grow and could really use some input!

I´m planning on germing 9 seeds as usual, and keeping them in my tent until they start to show sex. I will then leave the strongest, most vigorous 4 in the tent, and finish the rest on my balcony. I´m looking to grow 4 100gram+ plants in the tent, and get a couple of ounces from the balcony plants. This is new for me - I usually keep them smaller and cram 9 in 1mx1mx2m in 11L pots (normally yielding between 400 and 500g). So what I want some input on is this. Should I replace the regular 11 litre pots with either 15 or 20 litre airpots? Also I normally only use Biobizz light soil with extra perlite. Should I be adding other amendments to the medium in order to get the size of plant I am looking for?

Last question is this: Strains will be 3 x Sweet Trainwreck, 3 x Sweet Auto Bloody Skunk, and I will have 3 spare spaces - I´m thinking maybe DP´s AutoUltimate (should be available in time) or Sweet Seeds Devil Cream. How do the Sweet Seeds Auto´s do in the bigger pots? I´ve grown most of the auto´s in the range but never in bigger than 11 Litres!

Thanks in advance for any input guys. I thought I was a half decent grower until I started rooting around on this site and realised just how much I still have to learn! I think I´ve been a bit lazy and stayed in my comfort zone the last couple of years!

Day 35. Everything is on track. Had a bit of yellowing of lower fan leaves on 2 of the GP´s. Upped the feed a bit and it seems to have halted it. Heres a couple of pics of the Green Poisons:

This is one of 2 that I had to LST as they grew very quickly. They both responded really well to the training and are relatively even with great light exposure.

If anyone can help on the questions on my previous post I would really appreciate it!

Im on day 36 brotha we must think alike haha im gonna tag along for the ride. Check out my grow in the new guys forum if youd like, im doing 6 white lsd auto plants. Cfl's. Your girl looks precisely like mine I love it. Best of luck

I like sweet seeds genetics man they are really strong to grow and great to smoke also. Personally with my CFL cab I can only go as big as a 7 litre pot to grow in and they do great. Im germinating 2 blackjack automatics tonight and will grow them in the 7 litre pots for sure. I usually adverage around 22-28 grms per plant dry. Perfect for my little cfl garden, I can get up to 10 of them in my cab so that adds up fast. I usually grow only 2 auto's while I veg my photosensative plants on the 18/6 cycle. So ya 11 litre pots would be great for those sweet seeds strains but for those super auto's I would go bigger I would say. K.I.M.
