Hey!
I was hoping someone could tell me about my auto flowers finishing time. I don't want to harvest early.

I am growing Speed Seeds- Auto Diesel. Every web site I look at says it takes 60-70 days. But they don't specify if that is the length of its complete growth cycle (veg and flower) or if its only the length of their flowering time. So far my plant is about 65 days old but has only been flowering for about 30 days. I don't think I should cut her at 70 days like I keep reading. The calyxes look swollen and the trichromes are turning milky.

Is it normal for autoflowers to flower for only 30 days? Or should I keep it going longer and risk all my crystals turning red? I need help to know what to do with her. This is my first auto.

Thank you

im new to growing my self but i grow mine five weeks 2 six when i give bloom nutes so like a seven week flowering period i been letting mine go like 13 weeks but theres an articile on her that say week 12 harvest. the article is by mundy or muddy cant remeber how to say his name but ya i would let your plant flower for a good 7 weeks imo they look like they need 3 more weeks i think.

Thank you,
thats what i was thinking but was totally unsure. i think i will take that advice and go for 7 weeks of flowering. so about 12-13 weeks total.

She looks good but also looks like there is still some growth left in her. Generally with autos, when they specify days it is from seedling. so if it says 70 days, it is 70 days above soil. With photos they specify in flowering days. With autos and photos both, your flowering time is going to be increased or decreased by the amount of light you have and how much you are feeding. More light speeds up the photosynthesis process and will allow them to finish a little earlier.

I can tell you how I like to harvest and everyone is a little different. I let mine go cloudy and try to keep the amber under 5%. As soon as I see amber I normally let them go another week, week and a half. Just judging from the calyx size of your pictures I would say you have at least another couple of weeks with her. Keep in mind, breeders grow under perfect conditions and base their days off of that. Rarely can indoor gardeners match the harvest date of breeders. Not that it isn't possible to have a quick finishing pheno every once in a while but for the most part you can normally add a few days to a week on to what a breeder recommends.

Best of luck bro!

They look great but they have a few more weeks at least in my humble opinion. You will be glad that you waited your yield and quality of smoke will increase dramatically. Good job.
