I am sorry I didnt start my journal in here instead and I really dont feel like making an total migration... Made so many errors, fast forwarding weeks and stuff, a hassle to edit and my journal is still to be corrected. (I think the comparison foto is 4 days old not 2, as i found the foto marked the correct date) :p Still an nice spurt on 4 days, but there is an difference. xD

The problem is.. That I am really running out of height, and the plant did show lightstress with the slightly curled leafs. Not good if i want maksimum size on the main. I pulled the light up to about 15cm, but that is all i can give.. I think 10cm is max closeness point for start of curling, maybe pushing her abit out of direct light for some hours manually? :p (I got an HS80, only got 160 total hight and the 7 gal pot is tall to). So for now I have decided to stop giving any more Mega Crop, and i will water today with just Bud Explosion. My and a pals thinking was that maybe chilling on the N and silica and stuff would brake down abit of her growth in flower? I also could try to LST in some way, a friend have done it with succes but i am sooo sure i will brake the stem if i try... :( It is not very bendable at all and very thick. My question boiled down; How do i distribute my viparspectra 300w the best? I think i got all covered because of heigh difference.. But its not looking optimal as is im afraid. I have done defoil before but people deter me from doing it again on this plant, removing some foilage would distribute well but i wonder if enough "solar panels for the buds" is left.

What say thee? Help me make this risky judgement call. :p
I will update with fotos from today, she is still growing but not as fast i think :S

Foto added is 4 days apart. :) 1509 to 1909

The problem with LST is that it's late. Gotta start that when they are little. The stalks will get really "Woody" towards the end. Do as that ^Archie^ says....you won't be able to curl it right on top of itself like a horseshoe, but you can definitely buy some wiggle rooms. I grew my first 3 rounds of autos in a 40" tall area under a work bench. Talk about being vertically challenged...ya gotta plan ahead from day one of your next grow. The good news is that she is about done getting too much taller. You can start the bending and "train" the plant to deal with it better by going slow over a two day window. It all depends on how hard the stalk is. Running out of vertical room sucks balls, ya just gotta manage it from day one. Tie her up!!

Okay thanks guys I will bend her as much as i dare tommorow and try bend her more and more for each day that passes if possible. :) Got the updated pictures taken now, watered her with 382 ppm only, just Bud Explosion.. Have had the ppm up to 1050

I have also dropped her "wheelchair" (flowerpotroller thing) wich saves some cm.

Just bending the main early was to lazy on the LST part i understand now lol, i will for sure be doing more bending and LST onward. :p She was under 15 cm for a long time though so she kinda surpriced me. :p

Yup. That is what I did too. I run KAAAHBS. I had hooks screwed in under the bench....had some Pin-Fin heatsinks hanging under off loops of wire. Between the hooks, loops of wire, and pinfins themselves it was 15cm at least. I remounted the KAAAHBS on a flat plate heatsink (that I scavenged from a Viparspectra) and slammed them lights right into the wood. It helped. Between that and some bondage, that did the trick. Next time you can also go down in container size by 15%...or look for "low profile" containers. I've used everything from kiddie pools to blue boxes to my homemad"Airpots" made out of waste paper cans like you would see under a desk in an office. Just make sure to drill holes for drainage...and more is always better in my opinion. You can always add water...but getting rid of it is a pain in the ass and is about the quickest way to wreck a healthy plant. Get that light as high as possible, get the plant as low as possible. Problem solved....lol

SCROG is another way to contain height for future reference...I've seen plants run along the ground too like a watermelon vine. Mind you, this was outside, but if you stake the plant down and just keep staking it down as it grows, you can make a whole hedge out of the right strain. My buddy used to do that with a plant each year in his backyard to keep it under the fence line. The fence was 6 feet, the plants were over 10 feet, but instead of going up, they were running sideways. It's basically a SCROG technique, just looks different. Wait till you start running em sideways...lol...it's AMAZING watching the plant throw 8" buds straight up off a horizontal vine, making right angles at the nodes. Trim the bottom half of the node to force the tops. Talk about bud sites. These things could really not care if they're sideways, upside down, backwards, forwards, or inside out. They will aim at the light source, wherever that may be coming from.
