i currently have my first grow going that i'm already documenting elsewhere- 3x tyrone special in a 2x4 closet w/324w t5. going very well and am using that to learn and prepare for this grow, the main event.
i want to be 100% self sufficient. i don't ever want to buy weed again. like ever, ever again (unless i'm on vacation somewhere or something xD). went with the amare se450 and the 4x4 gorilla shorty tent. using 2 and 3 gallon smart pots and roottrapper ii's.
got it all put together this weekend and hung the light, n spent tonight mixing soil and planting seeds. everything should be in place for now, don't wanna hit the seeds with the cob's just yet so only have the mono's on the amare turned on yet (that should be enough for them to sprout n stuff yeah?).
so i know 9 plants in a 4x4 is overkill but just taking caution that enough will germinate n all that - if i end up needing to figure something out later that's fine xD
in the tent are 3x auto blues, 3x deep blue c, and 3x fastbuds blackberry (if having non-mephisto plants along for the ride makes this not an appropriate thread for the mephisto section let me know!). all the plants are in roots original and roots original amended with mephisto mix in the bottom (aside from two of them in kindsoil instead). i'm gonna just be watering with distilled water and hoping to keep it as simple as possible. 24/0 for the first week or two them blast them with the cobs 18/6 or 19/5 for the rest of the run.
just checked on them to make sure they're staying moist - humidity is high 50's in the tent and temp said 68 so i opened the tent a bit and aimed a little space heater at the pots, i'll check before i go to bed to make sure that's getting it warm enough in there. the first seeds i sprouted were super easy with the t5 keeping it all warm lol. in the future i'll probably just use the 2x4 space as a germ/sprout/early veg room and send the plants to the 4x4 once they're ready to take off. attached are some pics of the setup! i plan to keep the tent open like that until i get ventilation set up. from here til the end, please let me know if anything seems off, won't hurt my feelings, we're growing plants and having fun

so lucky that i came across mephisto without having much exposure to the growing world yet. i've paid close attention to a lot of people's grows with mephisto strains and the plants just always look dandy. love the attitude of the company (and they send freebie seeds even if you just buy soil mix from them? fuck yeah i'll grow those). i'll post some updates once some of the seeds sprout up
