I'm getting a little restless.
I have bought a TD silent 5 Inch In Line Duct Extractor Fan - Silent 350m3/hr made by Soler & Palau.
It is supposed to be world’s most quiet fans in its class.
I want to get almost silent running in my cab.
I bought a larger size than I need as it is quieter than the smaller sized fan and I can also use a varic controller to slow it down to half speed for even quieter operation.
I'm also going to buy and oversized carbon filter too to give the fan motor less air resistance when pulling air through it.

The thing is I ordered it from a guy in france, the package is in transit but when I look at the tracking details, nothing much seems to be going on.
It is due for delivery from today to the 10/2/17, so there are a few more days to wait in that time period.
I ordered it well over a week ago and I am now so impatient for it to arrive.
The waiting is killing me!

Low profile "Mixed-flow" fans with soundabsorbent insulation. Extremely quiet.
Certified of Approval Noise Abatement Society (TD-2000 model). Constructed from sheet steel with epoxy polyester paint, acoustic insulation (MO) glass fibre, within outer shell.
Aerodynamic inlet to improve airflow and reduce sound. Detachable fan unit without demounting duct connections. IP44.
External terminal box IP55.
Removeable fan body with 2 speed motor, single phase 230V-50/60Hz speed controlable, Class F, external rotor aluminium motor with capacitor and
thermal protection.

As a 'mix-vent' fan these develop less pressure than our acoustic centrifugal box fans, but for use with duct runs shorter than 10 meters or so are perfectly adequate. We anticipate these fans becoming the standard for domestic acoustic in-line extraction systems.

Fitted with rubber gaskets on the inlet and outlet to absorb vibrations, a body that can be dismantled.
Connection box can be rotated 360º, to facilitate easy connection of the power cable.

Low profile "Mixed-flow" fans with soundabsorbent
insulation. Extremely quiet.
Certified of Approval Noise Abatement Society (TD-350, TD-500, TD-800 and TD-1000 models).
Manufactured in plastic material, with a specifically designed internal skin to direct the sound waves at the right angle for them to be captured by the sound-absorbent material (1). Fitted with rubber gaskets on the inlet and outlet to absorb vibrations, a body that can be dismantled. Connection box can be rotated 360º, to facilitate easy connection of the power cable.

Motors
Speed controlable 230V-50Hz motor, of two speed motors. IP44.
Motors are class B, with ball bearings and safety thermal overload protection.
(1) Except the TD-160 SILENT, that is fitted with the special floating motor system patented by S&P.

Is anyone else using one of these fans and what are your thoughts on it?

Took me a sec to remember that other countries don't put the days and months the same as we do sometimes in their dates. Thought they were telling you it would be here between now and October 2nd. :crying:

Anyhow...the TD series are good fans. My little TD150 works like a champ and is nice and quiet.

Oh yea....and GOOOOOOD MORNING AFN!!!!!

My second wife is here. Today, at her school, someone talked about double layer joints.
Anyone heard about that?
I never heard about double layer joint.
I had to look into this and there are different ideas about it.
Some people roll a joint and then roll another joint around it.
Others and I think this is the more likely to have started it, is to roll a joint and then wrap another layer of paper around it.

why two layers of paper I hear you ask?

Well if you rolling a phatty out of pure weed, the joint can burn unevenly, so the thicker paper makes it burn more evenly , without getting so much side burn.

it is the paper version of a blunt if you like, the thicker tobacco leaf from a cigar also has the same effect, ie it makes for a slower more even burn when it is being smoked.

The double paper version I would imagine came about when someone ran out of cigars or blunt wraps etc but that is just a guess.

Good morning Ozone.

Ya I hate that too D_M_Y is my preffered way and i forget other countries do it differently.
I think I'll just write the months name from now on , as this is an international site.
I still hate waiting for this to turn up.
Because the delivery company is French on that side of the English Channel, I'm not so bothered in trying to contact them even with google translate.
If the worst comes to the worst Ebay will refund my money and I'll just buy another one.+

Thanks for the info about your TD silent.
Good to hear I may still make an accoustic fan box for it and use Insulated ducting too.
I also have a fan silencer.
I still need to buy a good fan speed controller that won't hum.
Are you using a fan speed controller and if so what brand is it?

Thank you very much, Sir!
Very clear points. I think I choose an old fashioned joint or the Amazing Viva vap.

Paper doesn't taste nice and if your not a tobacco smoker like myself Blunts are not an option unless they sell tobacco free blunt wraps in your area.
I guess tobacco free blunt wraps could just be ordered on the net.
I am like you and would rather vape But I personally would avoid combusting my weed as I get all that yummy flavor from the the terpines, when I vape.
A little secret though..... I smoked some joints with tobacco in them over the festive period but I am back to pure weed in a vape again.
.

Ahhh thats was tasty!!!!

Hey check out this 120 years old pic of cannabis plants!!! @Mossy look how fat those leaves are!!!! look how many fingers!!!! :pass:

Plants that size and I reckon they be 13 Blade leaves.
There is a leaf right in the middle of the picture level with his elbow, it looks like it is bigger than his head!
Great find Elvis!

Hey arty, I just got my first vaporizer the airistech viva and love it. Now I'm shopping for something a little bigger and I'm considering an eleaf mod with the mig vapor sub-herb tank but I'd really like some recommendations from people with experience as I have none. Do you have any good recommendations?
