What's folks thoughts on using something like inch(ish) think foam from the hobby/craft store to raise plants off a chilly floor in the winter? Good idea or waste of time? Don't know where it's going to bottom out at yet, first year paying close attention, and the floor in the closet is down in the high to mid 60's, so getting a little chilly for the roots.

Thoughts? :greenthumb:
I always keep my pots on caddies off the floor for drainage and air flow. I keep a seedling mat under the caddies if I think the floor is too cool.

rigid foam is very good, use the densest you can find for under pots, lumber yard will have more choices and probably a better price, 2" will totally insulate in this application
