New Grower Aquarium ph tester anf up+down solution for plants?

Hello AFN I must water my girls but my ph electronic pen is not yet arrived and also my Ph Down and Up . But I have a ph tester and buffer solution from my aquarium. Can I use that for my plants?:thank:

NO!!!!!
Don't use buffer solutions for aquariums!!! Most buffers for aquariums cause lock outs in plants.
The tester couldn't hurt I guess, but don't know how reliable it is, but please don't use the buffer. It would be better to use even vinegar or lemonjuice if needed to adjust the pH of your water.

If it is a digital meter, yeah it will work fine.
The drops? Not so much.

As far as your aquarium buffer, I wouldn't use it. Nutrients can have thier buffers. It could cause a mystery problem later.

Thanks a lot mate, I use the test and probably lemon juice I hate vinegar it creates a sort of slime .... Thanks again from the prevention

Is all part of learning mate, the more problem you have and solve this time round you will be ready for in the future, and when you see another noob with the same later on you will be able to advise them. Is what creates this ever expanding circle of knowledge that is AFN.
