I’ve been using this the past few days and even though my environment is fairly humid in the 60s, the shit is still drying fast despite my temps are around 17-19c. I noticed most of my trichomes on Bruce banner don’t look healthy. I had some in paper bags tbh for two days until jerbdryer came. But even with not wet trimming, most of the buds have the hay smell or very little smell. I was forced into this because my dry space was used up. I will probably hang dry my other two plants. Anyways, has anyone used it with success or failure? Im wondering if it’s drying too fast because I have three fans in my grow closet with the herbdryer as two plants are finishing up. I’m five days into drying with the Wedryer/herbdryer and most of my big colas are almost dry with very little smell. Mostly hay and some buds smell decent.

Yup ,that is my problem with it as well. So I now use it in a environmentally controlled space. That kind of defeats its purpose. One thing I did do with it when I first got it was to put it in a small 2x4 tent I was not using. That slowed it down considerably. I haven't noticed a large drop in odor, it comes back when I put them in the bags.
I wet trim and put the buds in this widget or in drying racks in that environmentally controlled tent. When close I put them in Grove bags.

Seems like a piece of shit tbh. I use my grow space for drying but these autos are on their own time. I still have one 10wkz in flower which is the longest I’ve ever had to do. I was waiting for them to retract hairs but some of the plants were still spitting out new white hairs even week 10 in flower. I dunno what’s going on. Maybe from bottom feeding they have had a build up. I’ve just started watering them and bringing the ppms down. Hoping the smaller buds will finish up so I can hang dry. I’ve read that so many people don’t have the hay smell with this Wedryer but I think It’s bullshit.

My humidity is in the mid 60s sometimes and temperature is very low mostndays so it should naturally dry out slower especially since i left sugar leafs on.

I found a lot of trichomes at the bottom layer where no buds are. Im really not liking the thing at all. shouldn’t be drying this fast based on my environment, it is fairly controlled. I understand the paper bags could have ruined some of my crop (I had some in bags because I had to await the Wedryer arriving). But geez man there is barely any smell at all now.

How people claim this thing works or better than a hang dry is beyond me. I had banana purple punch hang dry for 10 Days in my environment and it never even needed cured. The smel blew me away.

Just don’t feel like this is gonna bring the terps back. Not much smell already and they ain’t even dried yet.

I used to setup the spare 4x4 to dry in and hang the long branches but to save space and time I put up a pole by the ceiling to hang paper bags. About 12” pieces 2-4 a bag and worked like a charm. I recommend it as a space saver for sure.

I’ve used paper bags many times and it definitely isn’t the way at least for me. My herbs will Be dry tomorrow no doubt which is roughly 6-7 days despite my humidity being in the 60s and temps from 16c-19c. With the hang dry I did the last time, I’d never go back to other drying methods. I had a plant dry for ten days and i had never smelt anything like it. Some people have good success with paper bags, but a good slowwwww dry seems to bring out crazy terps. I’ve tried paper bags, air fryer (yeah I Know haha), hang dry, cardboard box dry, diy cardboard box, I’ve tried many methods but nothing truly compares to a slow hang dry in a cold climate

I managed to slow the dry down but not sure it will make a difference since they seemed to dry quick in the first few days. I’m on day 8 of dry now after reducing my extractor fan speed. Buds are flat as fuck though. I went in to check my remaining two plants and noticed a big ass spider on my wall behind muni plant. I never get spiders in there, it’s closed off... or so I thought. My other two plants are ready to hang dry but with this big dryer being in there, I won’t get the space to hang these two yet. So far I don’t recommend this device unless you really don’t have space to hang dry.

I used mine to dry 2 grows and went back to paper bags (doubled) as I found the latter gave you a much slower drying/controlled drying process. Now, I hang dry the whole plant (or if colas close together I might hang it in three "sections") and then rough trim it down to large buds, and then into the paper bags (2X), folded over. I check RH using jar method 1-2x day until I get 64-66% and I'll then finish up with a quick dry trim or spin in the trim bowl, then into Grove Bags. YMMV, IMHO, etc.

I take it back what I said about wedryer. I’ve did a hang dry this time and tried to keep temps around 17c and humidity at 60%. On day 8 (today), I noticed my plants were snapping even the big stems. For some reason it’s because really overdried. I’m super pissed about it! The buds are much more flimsy compared to the wedryer dried ones. I have no idea how it’s dried soo fast. I assume my extractor fan constantly on has done this. I tried snap tests on them last night and nothing popped. 3Wok was hung dry and she’s shrunk like crazy. Most of her branches don’t snap or make the snapping sound but she’s shrivelled up really tiny compared to how she was whilst she was growing. They don’t snap yet and still the buds are too dry. Insane. Wot a heartbreak
