Funny thing is this. I sheltered my plants EVERY TIME it rained, yet I STILL had some bud rot. I guess the insanely high humidity attacked the water the plant naturally holds.
like i said--my inside is outside!!!!old storage barn--tin roof tin walls no insulation--no electricity--100 ft drop cord---if you sit a box in a oven--its hard to cool it down or change humidity--but all i got to go with live and learn ---never any problems during fall --winter or spring--so next crop should be ok.if i would thin out the herd would do better.i keep grow area packed at all times
Yeah I have humid n temp probs too..you can get a product called Exel Systemetic Fungicide suppose feed at the root zone suppose to make the plants cellular walls more resistant to mold rot blight etc..I do use this and I would prob say it does help some..but 90's temp n 70-80 humidity sometimes takes over but I have been getting less mold n last grow just one small spot..not only using exel...
I put a dehumidifier EvaDry e-500 in my tent. this doesnt create heat. you plug it in to recharge it after you can use it in the tent..unplugged..help with some of the humidity but dependin on the size of your tent you may need 2. and every idk...3 days or so you may need to charge it usually do that in the day as I can leave my tent open a bit not to be closed up with the heat..Thats a small help..
My best adv if you can get it or afford it is either a portable AC or reg AC. solve your heat n humid prob. just have somewhere to vent the heat or you'll have prob with coolin the area and the heat from exhaust in the same room.
on my last grow a friend of mine lent me their dehumidifier and this worked great to get my hum from mid 70's-80 down to mid 50's which helped alot..temps went up but I didnt have any probs with the plants with that..maybe one but I dont think it was cause of the dehum. as it was showin heat probs from the get.
a small dehum may run you 100+ a decent 200. and if the room you have the in (not the tent) is big then a bigger AC or dehum you need..more $%$..dehum and port ac are almost the same price..
