The yield you are getting could be from high quality bud. That is a big factor for sure. Your press is pretty basic so its not like its some high tech NASA press that is superior to other presses.

This is also true- I am using all
top shelf home grown mephisto flower/ trim.

I don't currently have a press but I am inclined to agree with you. After catching up on this thread, checked with 1 of my neighbors and he has a 12 ton press just sitting around. Then Found some decent heated plates online for around $220
I think that is the route I am going to take.

Have you guys seen any of the press testing we've done on the site? https://www.myrosinpress.com/ has a really nice press for a little over $400; my neighbors got one for testing and it's an AWESOME unit, 6 tons of pressure and it looks great next to the coffee pot (plus warranty!) I've been running a Sho Products Rosin Tech single arm pneumatic for awhile now and while that's likely too big for most of you guys, it's a great press as well (very solid built.) Rosin Tech is sending out their Twist and I think their Go unit to us here soon as well, so if you're looking for smaller/portable press kits, we'll have a few more examples to show out on the site too.

The smaller plates require less force as well. I actually liked my smaller square plates better than my larger ones. I might even return them and switch back.

Yeah man, this press has definitely paid for itself in the end results. Had a makeshift Erwin grip press, then went ju1cebox, then nugsmasher. Finally did it the right way haha

Right now I'm using dab magic (peg) at a ratio of 1:1. It's works really well and carts are super strong.

I'm gonna get some of holy terps pure line soon to test what they offer.
